Gorgeous shot. Into the foam pit, I assume?

I haven't ever seen the ramp shot. I did laugh at the Instagram comment. Smile

If the ramp shot's authentic, it looks like more effort went into the ramp than the bike.

Best Trick is the event I shoot each year at the X Games while cringing, hoping I'm not about to watch someone get seriously wadded up.

One thing i will never understand about X and best trick, does the landing really need to be as hard packed as pavement?? practically hold my breath as each riders hits the take off ramp. It is pretty amazing when everything goes right, but get it wrong and its a ride in the ambulance.

Dunno, but the part that really scares me are the guys that make it via video submission, who've often done the trick into a foam pit, but that's it. At home, they get all the time they want. At X, it's all the bright lights, crowd, TV cameras, and maybe worst of all, "Ready....go." Some of those guys in the past were clearly not ready for that kind of environment.

Oh yea, remember the 1st year that Scott (cant recall his last name) dude went for a double blackflip? seemed to get a huge case of stage fright and just locked up, on national television!

There have been a couple guys who've come out and either can't come to terms with the ramp, stadium, and pressure; or go for their run, lock up, and throw dead sailors.

I for sure wouldn't want to be in their positions. It's a do or die event, for sure. I just hope we don't see the latter anytime soon.

Guy, I'm worried that we'll see the latter EVER. I think we will, though.

I wouldn't even jump that gap on my modern-day mountain bike!

I totally agree why don't they lay that padded matting stuff that the nitro circus have

best trick the last couple of years has been 10 minutes of build up 10 secs of action then 10 minutes of fill while they tend to the poor bastard with a broken ass.. then repeat

I would not watch it if they had padded landing, might aswell have a best foam pit contest. I also dont think it should be as hardpack as it is
