Hope he does make it this year. I am glad to see them get rid of that dumb "1 point" rule in favor of 25 points. If you earn it now, it's yours (IMO)

When is #4 up for grabs? I remember they made some kind of special rule and extended the time, so when does RC have to race a couple or pass it on?

I imagine it will take a few years past the deadline either way, I can't imagine anyone having the balls to take it for the next few years.

Pretty sure it is up this year? either '12 or '13 i think it was a 4 or 5 year deal.

I honestly believe rickys #4 should be retired, out of respect and in dedication to what he gave the fans, the sport and his own self along bis career.

you know what's funny? if they had the rule of the champion running the #1 like they do now he would've only run #4 for one SX season haha (I think)

If that were the case they should have retired MC's 2 for bringing moto into the mainstream way more than it ever was before. Video games, Appearances on late night TV, R/C motorcycles sold in every major retail outlet in the US Etc.

and if that were the case, the oem's would have top make bigger numberplates to accomodate those larger numbers.
In turn, the motor displacement would have to be increased to carry the heavier plastic.
Because of that, gas prices will rise because of the supply and demand of oil.
This could be a real mess.
