I don't like him because he is an arrogant dick from firsthand experience. And its not cause he wouldn't sign an autograph for me

Pala 2011, 1st moto of the last race in 2011. Pourcel had more points than Canard in the championship (not much, 6 or something like that). In the first race, Pourcel was ahead of Canard and then Canard crashed. It was almost impossible for Pourcel to lose the championship because he had a nice comfortable lead. However he crashed at the end of moto 1 and injured his shoulder (so he couldn't ride moto 2). That leaved the door open for Canard to win the championship.

After moto 2, Pourcel went to Trey and congratualate (sp?) him with his championship and asked if he could get a T shirt with "Every moto counts" on it. However Trey ran out of Tshirts so he didn't have any left. He decided to give Pourcel his race helmet with a text on it. On the text it said something about a duck because Canard means duck in french ...

That was one of the best championships ever! Made me a huge fan of Pourcel & Canard!

Ok Rup, then I must be his 2nd biggest fan! I have said multiple times that if he is comfortable he can beat any rider on any day...

CP377 is probably gonna be like JMB was in the states; no one will start liking him after he has retired and went off to greener pastures. Chances are (Like Bayle) he is misunderstood and not a lot of people get it. Just the way it is. Regardless of where CP377 goes I wish him well, he is a hell of a rider...

Just curious what did he do to you?

I personally don't pass judgment on someone based on a singular experience. I try to give people the benefit of the doubt. Maybe he, i.e., Pourcel, was having a bad day.

OP, nice article. It was refreshing to read about his charity work.

I hope 2013 brings this man on a TwoTwo ride

and this man on a KawasakiCool

The Two of Them would bring some great battles to the table,so here's to wishing Canard a speedy recover and Pourcel a speedy plane ticket to America.

Pourcel on a 450f would be right up there with Stewart and RD.

I hope he stays in the GPs,it shows that being in the right place, people and team wise is what make things work for him and as he says,he's right there at the moment,he didnt have it all easy in the. US,especially when he dumped the Yamaha, the hate on here piled on for example, but look how things have turned around this season now he's back on Kawasaki and with Jean Jacques again

I'm sure he'd really want to win that MX1 title here before he went back, and to beat his nemesis,Cairoli too,the guy is awesome to watch,so smooth and a master of finding new lines, good luck CP377Smile

I always thought he had a cool personality. Much more of an individual than most of the racers. He came off as intelligent and honest to me. So, I wish him the best of luck, and would love to see him come back to the US sometime.

he's definitely unique but I've always thought he seemed cool, but especially so in a 'how was your weekend' video (steel city.. just found it) after Trey won and pulled to only 6 points? did I read that above somewhere? anyway made him super close in the championship with only one round to go

well Canard was doing his bit and Pourcel came up and said he was trying hard to catch him but couldn't cause Trey was riding too fast.. and Trey seemed pretty blown away by it which made me like him even more haha
it's at about 7 mins

WIndham syndrome.

He reminds me of that in the fact that when he wants to ride and is comfortable he is almost unbeatable.

Maybe a moto here or a moto there but not consistently. He would def close the gap but he doesn't have their speed.

He definitely has their speed. Not in the soft stuff perhaps. He passed dungey at the mxdn last year in that last moto before he got a flat. He is definitely a beast on hard surface tracks.

Pourcel has had some very dominate rides, like Unadilla 2009 for example.

Stop fucking whining, Poucel is just a normal person, different as some, same as others.

No one is a big an arshole as me and probably you.

He´s good at sand too.
Won a GP at Lierop back in 2006, going 3-1 beating Cairoli, Rattray, Searl, de Reuver and Philippaerts.
