I do remember him saying he needed a good bike. LOL

Not sure what went down today, but he had some highly respectable lap times for an old geezer. Just being part of that field was a pretty damn good accomplishment and with top 20 lap times that just added to it. Me, I watched from the couch....

He crashed twice early in moto 1 then pulled off for a DNF. Moto 2 was a DNS.

No surprise.

These guys today are well prepared, and faster than those in the past.

It's the same in every sport.

And I applaud even louder at his results because he's a giant douche and it made my day (assuming he didn't get injured, of course)

He crashed in the second corner on the start. I wouldn't say anyone could tell how he was actually riding at that point. Crashed again on lap 4 I believe and pulled off. Nothing remotely close to a spectacular comeback but he did qualify to race which I expected.

Dowd was 44 and got 2nd at Southwick, last moto 2009. Just throwing it out there. Not knocking Ryno Power, his fitness, passion and intensity are to be feared and respected.

Maybe his wife microwaved his vegetables by accident? This kills the nutrients you know.

Was there at the race today and Ryno was on the gas! I give the guy huge props for going out there and trying. He went down in the beginning of the race and was charging, and i mean CHARGING through the pack. He was one of the fastest riders on the uphill whoop section. Then he went down again and pulled off. Then he didn't line up for the second moto. All i know is that if he gets a start and doesn't fall down, he has the speed to be top 10-15.

so the micro organisms are wiped out thus negating their benefits in digestion?

This is more interesting than some old geezers dnf/dns!

Man, Vital needs to quit drinking the HaterAde! Kudos, Ryno, kudos.

Not taking anything away from Dowd, but really, Southwick is like his backyard. Wouldn't bet against him, or Henry at Southie!

Let's remember he did qualify in 18th. Faster than Brayton, Sipes, Byrne, Lemoine, Wey, etc

He qualified 18th which is better then the other 22 guys on the line and all of the others who didn't make the show. He was a DNS for the second moto with a broken hand. And, he did a lot better then anyone comments on this thread.
