So where is Baggett making time on the track?

When he passed Barcia in the first moto, I noticed how he stayed on the gas longer before the turn. This allowed him to make the pass but what I thought was impressive is how rough that section was. He was totally commited and actually jumpped some of the breaking bumps while Barcia was on the brakes. Anybody else saw any specific areas or technique he used?

How well would his races have placed him in the 450 class? I wanna see "sign of the lap times" and race completion times!

He was so much better all over just bonzai through the bumps and he was really carrying a lot of momentum through the turns, well that's my take from the couch anyhow.

Right before the landing of every jump that bike was WFO with the tires spinning as hard as they can before touching the dirt. Tough to ride like that for a long moto without pulling a Pastrana - running your brain out of oxygen and crashing through a snowfence.

note his larger than usual cranium, baggett is able to bend space time at the jiffy level thus making up 1 second a lap

mostly the turns and straights...although he did make up some time on a few of the jumps too

I think it is just his fitness.
The guy can run the same speed and intesnity for the whole moto, others " fade " .

The guy is an animal for sure. His passes on Barcia and Roczen in the first moto were simply amazing. The way he carried his speed everywhere is awe inspiring. I think he is smarter with his speed and fitness though. He doesn't pressure in the beginning when everyone is at their peak. He waits for the end of the motos when everyone is in their groove. They are pounding out laps and looking for the white flag and he picks up the pace. After running 20 minutes at a set pace it is next to impossible to just be able to whick it up and hold off a challenge. Very impressive indeed.

I think I've heard Baggett say he stared at Pourcel's lines when Christophe was running in the US. I clearly saw it yesterday. He prefers to choose the cleanest lines instead of the shortest ones... Seems like it's the right way...

He picks the best lines on the track, at least by me he would scrub the small step up perfectly, get on the gas with the perfect amount of traction, then take the lowest line on the lip (no one else was taking) on the table and land to the FAR outside of the track missing 99% of the braking bumps going into that corner. Everyone else just kept hitting their same shitty lines in the middle...lol
