I think he is in for a good year. His attitude has changed from just a few short months ago. He seems more like the Bubba that we all remember and his riding looks better. When James is comfortable on a motorcycle it's like watching blue angels jet flow through the air turning and burning smooth and in control.
He will have the speed to win some,I just hope he has the fitness to ride with Dungey for thirty minutes so we can watch some good racing.

- he's been riding since a child
- he trains in over 100 d heat in florida
- he has one of the gnarlist tracks, in his back yard
- pretty positive he rides everyday for at least 60 + 4
- he is an athlete
- he is fit

What are his expectations?
1. Finish the outdoor season healthy.
2. Develop the bike as needed for 2013.
3. Have fun riding a dirtbike.

I will be surprised if he doesn't finish at least 2nd for the series. If Dungy misses a round or two JS will take the championship. There is no one else riding that has shown the ability to finish a full 24 race season at a competitive pace.

I think he feels at home on the Suzuki. Obviously, just by watching him ride (looks amazing), but also just watching the interviews he seems genuinely happy and confident in the motorcycle.

Compare that to this video four months ago where he seems pretty uncertain going into A1, despite all the enormous hype at the time with the JGR's technology and resources. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3yVfMFi7exQ

James is going to rock on that thing.

Unreal.

I cant wait to see what kind of speed he brings to hangtown.

Everyone was watching you yesterday Gibby. The answer photo was hilarious!

SICK!!!!
We haven't seen This James since he was on Kawasaki.
Even before his first race on the Suzuki, I think James already answered the question...... it WAS the bike.

Those are some great pictures ! I'm glad James is going to race this summer , it would have been kind of boring watching Dungey just destroy everyone . I think James will improve as the series progresses and will get his mojo back by mid summer , I'm lookin forward to some great close racing this summer !

Yeah...could you see the tire marks from the bus, and from when it backed over me a couple more times? That shot was horrible. Wink

He wont have anything for Dungey. Dungey gets faster throught the race, and digs deeper than JS knows how to. Hate to say it, but after Dungey and a couple other guys spank him, there will just be more excuses and reasons why he didnt win.

I would love to see him win, but IMHO he doesnt want it as bad as Dungey, Poto, et al' do.

Wait and see. I hope Im wrong.

You clearly missed the point.

It really doesn't matter if he wins a championship or not. He's fun to watch and by the gauge of all this internet chatter, I'd say it's a success already. He fills seats and that in of itself is good for the sport. It creates hype....and if you haven't noticed, all the momentum has suddenly shifted from Dungey/Roxcen and Musquin to JS and Suzuki.

Fair enough. Glad to see hes having fun. I bet winning is more fun though. Heres hoping.

I couldn't, your photog vest must have been covering them up!

The photos of James were excellent. Excited to see the interview.

Personally, I like how his glutes look in that photo. Totally relaxed yet firm.

Like one of the other poster wrote, I havent seen him throw scrubs like that since Kawi days. I wondered if he quit doing it since 2010 but maybe he never felt comfortable throwing the bike around like this? Anywho I hope he does good and rides out his career on a high note.
