If he is comfortable on the Zook, look out. Wasn't 2008 the year he was doing an awesome double from braking bumps at GH.

He'll take everyone out and himself with them. I don't think he can last the length of a moto, let alone 2 on the same day. Remember, he hasn't raced outdoors in a long time, and wasn't planning on it this year either, until now, because the top guys are out. He's looking for easy pickins. He's in no shape for this. I doubt he'll finish the season, if he starts it.

"Forgetting" is not the issue. Being able to do it as a world class athlete is. If it was about forgetting only, McGrath would come back and start winning SX again.....easily....and Jordan would be out there showing LeBron what is up. There is a hell of a lot more to it than that, though.

Yet another JS7 video with a soundtrack that uses the "N" word a few times. Why use such music with JS7?

Yep, and let's not forget what RC always says, you have to surround yourself with the right people. The people (RD, Ian Harrison and Goose) that won those titles aren't employed by Suzuki anymore

OMG he's sooo BOSS. 24-0 There is no competition when comparing anyone to James, McGraths record too, shattered by 2014! SX Champ next year('13) and the next('14) WINNING every single round Crushing EVERYONE indoors and out! All on the new suZOOKIE oozing oodles of confidence and being, once again, "The Fastest Man On The Planet"... the most talented rider ever to throw a leg over... hell yeahs... all in on board that bandwaon!!! FOK, why race, let's just give him the trophies and records now... why waste time with all that silly racing... He deserves it, the sport "needs" him and he's so "good" for it too... Bring on the outdoors and get ready for a world of hurt... JS is back and with a mission....

Competition is a little different than 2008. Expect same results, same excuses. Should be easier for him to look better without RV, CR, and TC. Hope he makes it long enough to get to Red Bud so I can see his reaction to Dungey putting 20 seconds on him in the 2nd moto heat.

He will quit at some point this summer.

Slow MoFo, it's not that you forget how, but in time, after not doing it, you aren't able to do it as well. I stand by my statement. He is in no shape to take this on. I just hope he doesn't hurt himself or anyone else. I too do not think he will finish the season. This will not be easy for him. He's just a man on the planet now. His best days, sadly, are in the past, not in the future. If he gets hurt, he could ruin his chances for the 2013 Supercross. I think we'll see minimal effort from him, other than to use it to get in shape for 2013. Just my opinion.

For all you people who think he is done, you might want to reflect a little bit on the consensus of Team Kawasaki rider Chad Reed back in 2010.

I'm not going to sit here and make predictions, but he rarely ever looked himself on the newer YZ450f. I feel pretty confident in saying that he will ride like his old self on the Suzuki. Where that will place him outdoors this year and indoors next year, we will just have to wait and see!

p.s.

Come on mods, where is my lowercase "g"???

I am glad he is gonna be on a bike he will be more comfortable on. Only thing he lacks now is confidence IMHO. I just hope he really races the outdoors

If you really think James will show up unprepared you must be new to the sport. James, RD5, and MA800 will battle this summer.....IF James races

petie11o5, and rosebud441. Have you ever met James or talked to him? I doubt it. He's a very nice person. A couple of years ago my son was racing at Loretta's, and after the races my wife and I were hangin out at the top of the hill in the evening havin a beer. James was walking with the AMA guy up there, and my wife saw him going by. She says to me to ask him if he'll take a picture with her. I said he's chillin, he doesn't want to be bothered by everyone. So I stop him and ask him if he would, and he says, sure where is she? So he and the AMA guy each put their arm around her, and I got a great picture. Then a couple weeks later my buddy went to the National at Broome , and said give me the picture, I'll see if he'll sign it. James looked at it and laughed and said this is from Loretta's , I remember this picture, and he signed it. I'm not a James hater, it's the opposite. He was very nice to us, and it made an impression on me. I like him. But in this instance, I think time, and lack of full years of racing,(meaning summer and winter), have taken their toll. I like James, and always have, but I just don't think he can do it. I hope I'm wrong, because I think he's got a lot left. I just hope the injuries and inactivity won't stop him from going for it.

Oh yeah just for the record, I have been on the JS7 bandwagon for years as well. Always secretly rooting for him to scrub past Villopoto. I hope he starts dominating so us JS7 fans can enjoy it for a while instead of seeing him come under criticism for every little thing that doesn't go his way.

Ok that's fair. You're post came off very negative. However, James was not far out from Dungey at Dilla a few years ago on a Yamaha that was setup for SX lol. Yes, he didn't finish the 2nd moto but 1st moto he looked damn good for a bike that was "terrible". You could tell the setup sucked as well watching him ride. Can you imagine what he will do on the the Suzuki? That bike looks to be amazing outdoors...JMO.

I may jump on the wagon one more time, but only until the ride stops in Canardville. James is one of my favorites, but the crown has moved on to better and more capable riders IMO.

i agree with this.

i've said it before but the last second jockying for rides isn't helping him at all.

i'd love to see him come in fully trained, tested, and ready to run a series wire to wire. 2 weeks to get a new bike dialed in isn't going t owork out too well for him. i just hope that he's been getting in moto shape for a while now.
