Suspect its more a case of, "I've barely 'worked' the past two years. I can't wait till January to start work... I need a fucking job lets do something"

I like it. Ivan can do it if he brings his A-game. He's often really good outdoors, don't know why he shies away from them. Any solid guy immediately becomes a threat on PC.

Most likely this means a PC guy is considering a move to RV's bike. Rattray would be really interesting.

Windham vs IT..........1 KW=2 Tedesco's, KW on a 250F is apples to oranges Ivan is 150lbs on a good day, why not throw him on a 250F, he's smaller than Tyla or Tickle

DL "There are better choices of riders that can fill in and get the job done" WOW..... IT only has 2 MXdN trophies and SX/MX championships on the wall compared to some local GH/Perris stuff and 1, COUNT IT 1 good run at a GP and all of a sudden IT is a bad choice? No disrespect to any rider, but you have to wonder why ML's phone doesn't ring sometimes.....maybe the same problem 800 has.

Really?? What has been Ivan's best result in the past 2 years? I'm glad to see the # 9 back in action but I have to agree with him staying on the big bike. Micheal will get a fill in ride and prove himself well. Maybe pull up an amateur, perhaps Justin hill? Ain't Mitch's first rodeo, he can make a winner out of anybody

Im going to say this the nicest way I can: I think Michael needs a little more experience first. He had one excellent result, which is great, hopefully he can build on that. I'm still kind of surprised those guys caught him from so far back though.

@bobby397: IT was just the most consistant and he did string together a few there towards the middle/second half of the year. One thing that will probably haunt Alessi is Langston cleaning him out on the last lap, last turn at Hangtown. If that doesn't happen MA800 is champ that year. I know... coulda, shoulda, woulda, but that was totally out of Mike's control

Why is it that guys like The Bomber, Wardy & O' Show bounced back and fourth between classes back in the day, and were considered 125 specialists, but a guy like IT does it, and he's "sandbagging" in a "feeder class"?

I wish the best for Ivan and hope he does well for PC, but I have a feeling James did permanent damage to his wrist when he landed on him in Toronto...

Because for many around here, motocross started in the RC era. The whole thing is stupid. If the best guys want to ride 250's then so be it. If I were Tedesco, I would rather be on a PC 250 (running the best of the best equipmeny) than some private 450 ride hoping you even get A kit suspension.

Because clearly the older generation had a better understanding of the sport. Clearly they trained harder even though the evolution of sport will always prove this wrong.

Simply put, they where better even though Everything shows differently.

I'm an Ivan fan and i would love to see him out there in the 250F class. Mitch is a magician when it comes to manufacturing results with mediocre riders. He has even resurrected riders' careers to battle for championships. A friend and I were discussing over an old Great Outdoors, why no one drops back to the lites class anymore. Just a few years ago guys in the twilight of their racing careers could line up and battle for wins and titles. Nowadays, they are ushered into the big bike class then right into retirement if they aren't a threat anymore. Guys like Windham and Way are doing well while their careers are winding down, but Christ you guys are quick to write-off riders.

How many wins did tomac get outdoors last year? Yeah? Thought so.
Ooooooh burn!!!! You got me!!!!!

But how many did Ivan get last year? How about 2010?

The top 250F kids are on the rise, getting stronger and faster each year, and gaining confidence. Riding technique is evolving as well. Tomac and Bogle are doing things on the bike Ivan didn't dream of doing back when he won the outdoor title for Mitch. Then you have guys like Bagget.....who DID win races last year. Then you have a couple of young World Champs in Roczen and Musquin.

I'm just saying it's risky. If a veteran like Ivan goes out and gets smoked by a bunch of kids, that's going to be detrimental to his confidence and subsequently his future results.

Let's say he does half decent. What does that do for him? You think Kehoe and Roger are going to start blowing up IT's phone for getting a top 5 in the 250F class?

The risks outweigh any potential benefits in my opinion. But like I said in my previous post...I don't know shit. I'm just expressing an opinion.

Go getum Hotsauce! A healthy Tedesco on Villo's ride would be so cool. If that doesn't happen, then Ivan on a Pro Circuit 250 would be badass.Woohoo

Very well said Drew! To many guys on here write off certain riders....ad they end up eating crow afterwords. IT9 has had a couple rough seasons.....but the dude has heart , desire and has shown to have the skills when he is in shape.

Most of these guys can't remember what happened past about 2 races ago. It's a shame.
