Believe it or not none of the "Big Brass" were there. It was the usual Team out there this weekend, Keith was at Colorado but not there this weekend. No matter who was there or who could have been there the decision I made was one on my own account after I had nearly everyone that is usually behind me telling me they did not want me out there risking it. After it popped out again Sunday morning I knew what I had to do to keep it in and also what needed to be done to salvage what I could.

BTW GuyB that shot is awesome!! Talk about perfect timing!!

But, you're too nice. With JLaw being gone, it's the perfect opportunity for you to take over as the "pop off" rider of the circuit. That kind of stuff would go a long way to building street cred for posting on Vital Drive.


And the riders complain about the message boards. Sheesh. Thats good advice right there.

Well it was heavily taped but I also knew where I could afford to slow down a bit and also where I could charge without getting into any trouble with it popping out again!! Like I said before its sore but not as bad as I would have imagined that it should be. All in all I feel it was a good decision to go ahead and race and could just imagine how much better my results would have been if I had not got the banner stuck in my wheel in the first Moto.

So, you will just heal as much as you can during the week and concentrate on cardio, and do some rest, ice, and compression therapy and race next week?


I hope Yamaha keeps you around. With Hepler getting hurt every other race he enters they need to keep a 3rd rider around full time anyway to make sure they have bikes on the track. That and you really deserve it. Heal quickly!!

I remember interviewing you (for CN) at High Point '02 when you first got the opportunity with Suzuki. You told me you were going to podium by the end of the season - and you ended up doing exactly that.

When I hear the name 'Sean Hamblin', I think 'factory rider'. It's where you belong.
