It's no way possible to be injured and still ride but not at race pace? Totally impossible to not be comfortable? His hand isn't fucked up enough to race? You know this how? Have you been hanging out with him? I'm still waiting for facts and not ambiguous hearsay that can be arbitrarily fitted to whatever stupid fantasy you live in.
He DID show up for the team and look what happened.

"It's no way possible to be injured and still ride but not at race pace?" - Justin Barcia won the 2011 East Coast Lites championship after breaking two bones in his wrist in Atlanta. It's possible.
As for his hand, have the doctors released him to race/ride? Well, per Twitter he was well enough to do an Oakley commercial on April 17th where we was on a bike doing some whips. So the doctors have obviously cleared him to ride. Let's see if the shows up this weekend to race.
Here are some direct quotes from James this year.
JS LA Post race interview – “We’ll go back and work. We gotta lot of things we need to work on. I wasn’t 100% comfortable. But I think we’ll be good.”
JS Phoenix interview - “Testing went pretty good this weekend, you know uh, we had a lot of stuff to get throughout the last weekend so huh, we’ll find out and see cause it’s been going good so far.”
JS Oakland interview after a win – “we learned a lot about the motorcycle this week”
JS San Diego interview when asked about the bike – “It’s good. Obviously I’ve been on Yamaha the last 3 years and this is my 4th year on it so I’m kind of familiar with it. We’re still working on it. Still struggling with some points on it. We’ll get it figured out and huh go from there.”
JS St Louis post race interview – “We turned it around, all day we was kind of struggling a lot and uh and then in the main event we found the right settings so….”
Do you need more quotes from him complaining about the bike, settings, starts, tires?
Look, you are totally missing the point. I do like James and appreciate what he brings to this sport. I WANT TO SEE HIM RACING, NOT SITTING ON THE SIDELINES MAKING EXCUSES. To his credit, I have also heard him take some of the blame himself as well.
Now, those are direct quotes from James - not "ambiguous hearsay than can arbitrarily fitted to whatever stupid fantasy you live in". I could go on and make some comments about you personally and your tone, but I'll take the high road.
Just to be clear, I want to see James racing on Saturdays. Get it yet?
Kongols, you're right. Canadians FTW.
Throwing a couple of whips and smiling for a camera isn't that tough. 20 laps against the baddest dudes on a earth is a little different. You need to go sign up for Vet C and find out that racing is different from riding.
Those quotes don't really place blame on anybody. Stuff like "all day we was kind of struggling a lot" are more vague quotes that are open to interpretation.
"Justin Barcia won the 2011 East Coast Lites championship after breaking two bones in his wrist in Atlanta. It's possible." I know it's possible but not all injuries are the same.
Seriously, the guys that race at this level have a unhealthy competitive fire inside them to win. It's like that with all sports. Dungey, Villopoto, Reed, Stewart, McGrath, RC, etc. all have it. They don't race for 2nd place and it kills them when they don't win. If you think Stewart wants to go out like this and make excuses not to race then I don't think you've been around the sport very long(I'm not really singling you out).
That about sums it up.
Haters gonna hate
Stewart's acting like a sulky teenager that refuses to come down from his bedroom (whilst collecting a massive salary), and JA is supposed to protect him somehow? Beg him to stay? Tell the media there's no problem and Stewart's been the model professional throughout? Try to lay some of the blame at JGR's door?
JS put the nail in the JS leaving JGR coffin. Can't pin this on Albrecht I'm afraid, just someone in the industry telling it like it is for a change.
Never lived up to the hype? The guy is 2nd on the All Time wins list and has a perfect outdoor season on his resume, but I guess those are meager accomplishments in your eyes.
Albrecht talked about all this.
Pit Row
You ca'n't blame JGR and the Yamaha. Bubba knew the Yamaha, or at least he should have. He also knew JGR is a football/NASCAR program. Why would he or anyone assume they know how to build MX/SX champions? Because they got a nice machine shop?
And since you like to live in the past, why not do it right and pick the GOAT to praise? Or at least MC in SX? The GOAT has TWO perfect seasons, SEVEN 450 big boy titles in MX, and FIVE 450 Bigboy titles in SX.
Bubba fans just don't math do they? They equate raw speed to titles and greatness. The empirical data does not lie though. You either have the numbers or you don't.
Are you saying Bubba is second in all time SX wins, MX wins, or SX/MX wins combined? Where does he stand when you count number 1 plates in 250/450 bigboy, not individual races? Has he even caught Stanton, a rider that the press lambast as a no talented dirt farmer? The FMOTP, most talented rider to ever walk the planet, cannot put up Jeff Stanton numbers, a no talented dirt farmer from the Midwest. Apparently it takes more than raw speed and talent I guess.
1. James Stewart as a whole. Say he quits right now. He WILL be remembered more for his 125 stuff and his "big boy" accomplishments more than the last few years of Blue Crash. He really did do some fucking work out there guys. Numbers are there and the guy did change the sport.
2. James Stewart lately. Yeah, shits sucked for all of us, no one more so than James. His fault? Sure, to an extent no one can say. Leave it at that.
I have an uncle. He loves to come in and talk about the races. He ALWAYS brings up Stewart in a hateful way. I finally confronted him (this is why face to face is better than internet cowboy) and asked him why he liked Stewart so much..
"I dont' like Stewart at all"
Yes you do.. he's your favorite rider to talk about.
"He just isn't getting it done"
Well why does that anger you? Did you invest money in him? Or do you know him? Is he not entertaining.. similar to a movie or show that you'd pay to see?
Let's just say he hasn't brought it up since... haha.
SO let's separate this anger guys. Should his employers be mad? Probably. Are we them? No. Does the guy owe us a goddamn thing? NO.
S T F U then..
The expectations are high for James. From his fans, the media, JGR, Yamaha, and James himself. Some of this is not James' fault and some of it is.
And who knows what to call the classes anymore, 450 big boy works for me.
He's surrounded himself with, and going through, some of the BEST and most SUCCESSFUL people in the industry...
and still can't "get r' done"!
Now it'll practically be on his on his own dolla'... stick a fork in him peeps, he's done! The writings on the wall, whether you choose to read it or not
Next year will be his NINTH year in the 450's, nobody kicks ass, or win's titles for that matter, as a PRO in their NINTH year.
EVEN McGrath! And McGrath was a way better Supercross racer then James is.
The only thing that's relevant at this point is his "maketability", and if a sponsor(s) believes there is a valid ROI from dealing with "James Stewart Entertainment".
Apparently J$7 is in for Hangtown. Dungey has already been moved to second and a 24-0 season is the forecast.
But we all know the weatherman is seldom right.
I guess Bubba mania is alike Apple stock these days. Irrational exuberance.
