10 hrs of hard ridding will wear that black off that is actually a ring made by running the correct tire pressure no ring to much air to fat of a ring to little air

thats rite i stayed at a holiday inn express last night

Mine do that after about 6 months or so. Really depends on the terrain you are riding. I used to take a little paint pen to them after tire changes to clean them up. Only lasts about 3 rides and they look that way again though. Anymore I don't care so I don't do it.

20 hours and there will be a noticeable ring around the rim, but they still won't look nearly as bad as the rims in the pictures.

I have 40 hrs n my black A60s. no wear at all. Its seems to depend on tire pressure/ amount of rocks and most of all carelessness during tire changes.

I know this sounds ghetto but i just put clear tape (not the cheap shit) over the rim after cleaning them so they dont get all scratched up.. When ever i change a tire i just re do it. and they never get scratched and you dont notice unless your really looking at it up close.

40-50 hours on our A60's, and there is only a very slight ring.
The rim in this pic looks like it has 200 hours on it lol

Here is what my rims look like after 60 something hours, third set of tires.

If you get up close there is a little wear.

Depends on how fast you are and if the conditions are wet or sandy at all. If you run correct tire pressure it can happen within the first 5 hours pretty easily. The flat spots and nicks are a different story. Those don't have to do with hours but simply harsh terrain, bad tire changing skills, and or riding on flats.

I'd say 2 + years.

I have had black wheels on my 09 yz since 2010 and they don't look that bad. In fact the front doesn't show any line, the rear does but much smaller than that wheel.

Sandy and gritty tracks will do that quickly.

Yeah Ryno..The black paint is junk for sure..Iam sure there are some after market rims out there that hold up better but the rattle can job they did in japan on the new Kawi's is crap..

Hay dude does the camel toe that goes up to your belly button also go around to the back of your neck?

just saying.

Those rims look to me like someone was using a metal tire changer machine on them.
