Even though Carmichael has not been racing consistently in years. He was defeated yesterday by the next big thing....Jeremy Martin. Alex Martins younger brother. The Martin brothers are on their way to being the most successful brothers in motocross history

Don't know much about Jeremy, but Alex has a ways to go before this will happen. He is definitely improving but you have the Pourcels, Stewarts, Sipes, just to name a few.

Defeated? Look up what the "G.O.A.T." and "retired" means.... and while you're at it... "Believe the Hype" when talking about amateur accolades vs. professional racing and report back. Thank you.

I think you guys are missing the point here........I'm almost positive the point of the forum was to make a statement about Jeremy doing so well this past weekend. Not even just this past weekend but in every race he enters. I have seen Jeremy race a few times and I'll give it to him. The young Martin hauls capital A-S-S. It was just a cool plus that he raced and beat ricky Carmichael. Clearly there are many, MANY brothers in the industry. He was just stating that him and Alex are very good riders.

Haha young Martin must have boat loads of confidence at the moment. Imagine still being an amateur but knowing you bet the goat... Would make you feel like superman.
In saying that, I predict RC will win his race by over 40 seconds at LL's.

p.s Whats the deal with using factory suspension / tyres for LL's?
I gotta give it up to RC for giving it a nudge, however his bike still looks full factory... Most factory bike to ever enter a LL's qualifier thats for sure..

Yes. I think as you do Jleews6! No one will ever defeat the G.O.A.T. but if I were the young Martin I'd be beyond happy to be able to say I beat Carmichael! Shoot I'd be happy to say I even raced the man himself! Its just cool for Jeremy to be able to say "I BEAT THE GOAT!" (even if it isn't when he is at him prime) lol

this Martin kid is absolutely flying right now and Alex has ridden great this season.

racing and beating Ricky is bad ass, no doubt about it. i was smiling when i lined up with MC, but i was never even in the same time-zone as he was when the gate dropped. awesome for Martin to lay it down against the Retired GOAT.

i can't wait to see the day when Jeremy goes pro...from what I've heard he's quite a bit smarter and faster on the track than his elder brother and if alex is finishing 6th.........well you can just put two and two together. after from what ive seen of Jeremy and after this past weekend I am now on the Martin bandwagon!

There were several guys that beat Ricky, he crashed in both motos!!!!!!!!!!!! It wasn't straight up.

yes but in the first moto Jeremy got the holeshot with RC behind him in second and Jeremy led and pulled RC for three laps then RC fell. second moto rc got booted off the track lol

X2 and the Pourcel brothers,I hope Seb Pourcel can capture some of that form he showed during those seasons when he won the overall in his class at the MXdN

yeh i'd still say either the king brothers or the pourcels were the most successful siblings in mx history though?

Christophes won a world championship, an ama supercross championship, several ama motocross races. Sebastien Pourcel has won gp's before and also won races at the des nations- both are still riding competetively too so should add to that resume!
Werent both Darryl and Shane King world champions at some stage of their career? Both had a crack at some ama supercross's and outdoor races aswel didnt they?

Hopefully Sebastien Pourcel will be able to get back to 100% this year, he's another possible winner in (an already stacked) mx1 class this year!!!

The stewart brothers could be in contention for being the most successful siblings if malcolm reaches his full potential.

I'd be interested to see some statistics regarding race wins etc from the above and see how they stack up!
