His dad posted this on Vital practice discussion.

Weston came up short on a rythem section in free practice and smashed his chest really bad he's going back to see the track doc again he's having bad chest pains and his heart rate is all over the place.



I know there has been some baseball players have cardiac problems from getting hit in the chest, I hope they can determine accurately if it's safe for him to ride tonight.

If only someone would invent some sort of plastic shell that the riders could wear around their bodies to help absorb and disperse impacts like that. Surely every rider would wear one! Right?

Wishing Weston the best....chest pains and heart rate issues are nothing to mess with. I had a pulmonary embolism a couple years ago...scariest shit in the world!

get well soon weston!! i wore my 2000 for the first couple years after i hopped on the bike after a 15 year absence. pretty comfy. the hallmans were huge nd ugly!! im wearing a thor roost and back guard now. dont know its even there. not a whole lot of protection either. has saved me from being speared a few times in the trees however.

Just talked to Weston he said his heart rate is back to normal but his chest,ribs and neck are still very sore. Thanks everybody for being concerned.

I didn't see that comment, I was just referring to the "Chest Protector" that is really just a roost guard arguments that were out of line.
