I was just going to post a thread about how overwhelmingly excited I am to watch Daytona live on Saturday night with my old man over a few beers. This put a damper on my mood. .

Anything can happen...one DNF and JS7 is back in it

If James won out, that would give him 352 total points, RV currently has 205, and would have to average a 4th place finish paying 18 points each for a total of 349 points in order for James to win the title.

The series just lost it's last glimmer of luster as far as I'm concerned. I won't waste my Saturday night watching Daytona. Damn...just freaking...damn.

Damn that stinks.

No doubt about his toughness, running for a second last week with a busted collarbone.
Hope he comes back strong.

Just to make it at least a little interesting, JBS needs to man up.

Otherwise...

If they'd call off the rest of the series and hand RV the plate it MIGHT give Stewart just enough time to find a good setup for the Outdoors.

Make that 2 DNF's.

Stewart is still in the hunt. All he needs to do is to win the last 8 races and have RV finish 4th each week.

My bad, 2 DNFs. RD being out hurts because there is less likely a chance someone will finish between James and Ryan should James win.

Exactly how many races will he miss? If the breaks not bad and since he's had it plated he could maybe just miss the 1 round.
If thats so, who knows, it may not be all over.....

Heat of the moment hasko, really bummed right now. As much as I like RV, watching him run circles around everyone else ain't my idea of a fun evening. The only way for this to get interesting again is for something bad to happen to RV, and I don't wish that on him or any other rider.

All that being said...yes, I will be sitting in front of the TV tomorrow night watching Speed.

I'm bummed for the fans, but it is never over tell it's over. There will be some great battles for the podium
between Millsaps, Brayton, Weimer, Metcalf, Seeley, Musquin, Windham, and a few others. I think James and RV1
will do battle and I hope Ryan goes for the wins and doesn't just settle for a podium. RD5 should be
back by New Orleans or Seattle I would guess, so we will still see some good SX racing. Get well
soon RD5, go RV1!

Ahem...Brayton has been racing with a proximal fracture of the fibula plateau, for SEVERAL races.

Feel bad for Dungey and KTM. The racing will still be fun to watch. Might see some new heated battles for the 3rd spot on the podium.
