Looks like 2 stroke fans are putting their money where their mouth is the last few days. The recent post by Renner and the support that followed inspired a few of my racing buds to join in.

Here is what we came up with to add to the pot:

To kick things off:
$100 (already PPal'd - for gas and Taco Bell) to get to the race

Plus:
$150 when he makes it through the qualifier
$1,000 when he makes it into the main
$1,500 when he makes it into the top 10
$3,500 when he makes on the PODIUM!

Thats a potential for $6250 from our crew and around 1500 or more from a few fans on the other thread and no "team" support..

about $7,750 so far.

OK. Who else is in?

It's a 125 that Ricky will be riding. And there are no photos of the bike yet....

Wow you make my $125 for a main on his 125 look like peanuts.

The paypal is in renners original thread.

Just through popular support we could easily sponsor a rider through donations. All we would have to do is hold off our money until the rider follows through by showing up, qualifying, or making the main. I hope the best for the guy and will eagerly be awaiting to see what happens.

Thats a great idea..Have a link on Vital for rider support for cases like this..your either in or your out..depending on the riders past history..either he or she is a good investment or not..

It would be fun and would bring a lot of attention to Vital and the rider..

Why I love this sport! How many sports have a fan base the is almost entirely comprised of people who partake in it, even if recreationally? I mean, the average Joe can't even dream of driving a car remotely close in performance of a NASCAR car. But we can ride shit that's pretty damn close to what our pros ride. Even though we're small, riders are a generally tight crowd with each other. Can't tell you how many times perfect strangers have helped me out when out riding.

Love it!

Knucklehead posters take note. Riders have a common bond that I don't remember seeing anywhere else. Think about that before popping off with your fanboy bullshit. Certainly you've experienced this too?

My $125 is guaranteed when he makes the main.

I hate to say it, but that might be the safest bet I've seen. You might as well make it $100,000, because realistically, you're at risk for paying out a max of about $1,250.

Funny thing, i was in the nonmoto section ta few weeks back and one of our fellow vitalmxers was talking about how he had just lost his house and job, and nobody offered to help him one bit. They just told him to suck it up and get another job. Funny how everyone is ready to give money to help fund strangers hobbies', but won't do the same when it comes to helping somebody put food on their plate and a roof over their head.

Not knowing the details, I see your point. This is simply an effort to support the sport. Maybe a MX form isn't the place to ask for help with a house, even though it is a very worthy cause....

It has no moor in the from, the broken plastics on it, no suspension... The race bike will be ready Friday. But until it's ready it would be pointless to post a pic because it will look like a different bike.

Sorry guys

Ok, I understand, so post a before and after pic. That would really be neat!,

Remember, we are here to support you, we aren't against you and want to build as much support as we can...

It could be a bike build pictorial...before, during the rebuild and after in race form... That would be supported by all on Vital...

It's OK to say it. You may be right, but thats still 1250 and add the other 1400 or so just for making a main and thats being paid to ride a 2 stroke no matter how you shake it. If he doesnt grab all the cash then maybe someone else will consider riding one in the near future based on all this positive reaction? I see that Smith is trying on a 250 as well. I like the trend I am seeing and support may grow?.

We WANT to pay along with everyone else on this thread because it would be WELL worth it to see a 2 stroke in a main period no matter what place he gets. Besides... who doesn't want to hear a 125 having the snot rung out of it in a pro event by someone like Renner?

Ricky will ride this bike like he hates pistons and have fun doing it. That's what we all want to see by the looks of it.

Come on, let's keep this on the front page though DAB. Post some pics on where the bike is and how it progresses to a pro ride for the DAB supercross.

If the bike isn't together, what are you training/practicing on? Are you in shape if the bike can hold up? This s NOT a dig/slam, just asking because we want to support your effort...

And since I'm the one designing the graphics, and I'm still not done with them it would be hard to show you what they look like. And let's face it, that's what makes the bike....

come on, show us a pic of the bike today, during the transformation and finally, when it is done... Don't drag us out on this, we are here to support the effort...

The dramatic change will gather support!

You are missing out on a great opportunity by waiting until you are "done" with the bike...

There are only a few days left to get some media/forum attention... take advantage of it!

I haven't even seen the bike. I think Ricky has only seen it once since he picked it up lol. If I get the approval, I'll post up a pic of the graphics tomorrow if they get finished
