Daytona Supercross Help

Am in the states for 10 weeks for medical treatment... just wondered if anyone from here was going down to the Daytona supercross from Jacksonville? Due to my treatment am having i can't drive down so was seeing if i could get a lift.. Am more than happy to give money for fuel + a little for helping me out.
long shot i know but thought i'd ask anyways..

I won't be there. I am sure you can get there by a cab ride and a Greyhound bus ride if no one steps up. Daytona is great for the Supercross and Bikeweek is going on.

I'm sure some one is heading south. I would pick you up but I have to head north to get to Daytona. Good luck with your treatment.

Hey Leyton, if you dont mind me asking, what kind of treatments? most people have to go outside of the US to get any sort of worthy treatment lol

Hey man.. I don't mind you asking.. I've been fighting a brain tumour since 2006.. had loads of operations but it still came back, I've been having a thing called proton beam therapy in jacksonville.. its like radio therapy but instead of x-rays its protons.. So much better for the body and you get very little side effects because it doesn't eradicate good cells.
The proton clinic is a very state of the art place.. they do some amazing stuff here.. They treat anyone from babies to OAP's..

As for Daytona am still trying to sort out getting down there.. i have just over a week so i'll have my fingers crossed..

Good luck with the operation & treatment.

I'm sure someone will help you out with a lift to Daytona and hope the industry guys on here can help you out with passes, extra's etc.

Hey Leyton, unfortunately I will not be going to Daytona this year. I'm in nursing school at the moment and this semester is killing me. I haven't missed a Daytona SX in years but this year I have no choice. Good luck getting there. You're gonna have a blast. Daytona is such a special event.

WOW, Good luck man. I have a son that had a long battle with cancer (Lukemia) that started when he was 11 years old. He had a bone marrow transplant along with everything else that goes along with it and he is now cancer free. It has changed our lives in allot of ways and I wish you the best and hope you can make it to Daytona.

If anyone is going to daytona and wants to help this guy out. I will chip in $50 for gas to help get him to the race.
I will send a postal money order to whoever makes it happen. Its not much but Its a start.

They are running the Ricky Carmichael SX academy the day after SX @ Daytona and I'm sure he can hook you up with the good passes, meet some of your favourite riders etc!

I am driving down on Thursday-Sunday and have room in my car. My room only has 1 bed but I have an air matress......and can probably get you a pit pass

Hey lumpy790 Thank you for the offer but due to my treatment i can only attend the supercross on the saturday..
I have treatment monday to friday and saturday the 10th around 1pm so i should be done at 2:30pm..
I do apologise.. i should of said in my first post.

It would be worth checking greyhound buses out, I got 1 from buds creek to NYC after des nations and it worked out like £30 return.

Good luck with your treatment. As you well know the proton therapy can be targeted very specifically. I read about the treatment available at Loma Linda here in California. Hope you have a good time at Daytona, I will be watching on tv.
