RV has certainly been on it this year, super fast and riding for one of the best teams. He's been on Kawasaki for years so it makes sense that set up would be a little easier with previous settings available. On the other hand Dungey has looked a bit hot and cold, sometimes it has seemed that he wasn't giving it everything but mostly it's looked more bike.
He's 10 down in the championship and I've been wondering how good will this guy be with a couple of years with the same bike/team/program? I think when everything clicks he will be a championship threat well in to the future.
Thoughts?

That being said..... Go RV1

Wilson, Barcia, Roczen, Musquin will all be battling with the current likes of RV, RD, Brayton, Weimer, etc
Decoster made a champion out of Suzuki (they were also rans when he took over), he is obviously doing exactly the same with KTM.
Hanging it out .He isn't built like that . He's fast and consistent so that is where he wins races, his strengths.
I find it amusing when Ricky is talking about RD you can hear the frustration in his voice that RD is too nice, doesn't let it hang out, almost like Ryan owes him rent for the track. Snce this was Ricky's style and it benefitted him,I believe he thinks it is what Ryan needs to do. If he did,he'd probably dominate but I don't see it happening anytime soon.
Pit Row
But about that new talent. After last years I learned that Americans always say that the 250cc riders are unproven 450cc riders.
So you are talking about Wilson, Barcia, Roczen, Musquin and you could also talk about Tomac, Seely maybe Pourcel that makes his return to the USA but are those riders capable to ride for a 450 championship?
Look at Davi Millsaps he was an amazing lites rider but in the big boys class he is good but not great! Same with Ivan Tedesco, Nico Izzi & Austin Stroupe (both where blazing fast in the lites).
McGrath said, go to a new team and expect at least a year to get things clicking AND that was with one of the well established big 4!!
He is in a death match with RV2,,, has to win 3 of the last 4 motos...and like we all know,...led the entire race and stumbled at the last turn.
Dungey will go down as an awesome racer, he is very, very, fast and clean. He has his share of championships and honestly I predict he will take the SX championship this year.....he fights the war of attricition and usually wins.
We will most likely not see another "goat" in our lifetime. RC owned the track and is/was the most brutal, determined, scrappy, little dude that will ever throw a leg over a bike,....everyone else is just a variance of his different traits.
RD5 is just one of the other "top guys".....as is RV1, JS7, CR22, McGrath etc .. ( I know MC is the 'king' of SX, but without the dominance outdoors, RC is still in a class by himself.)
So is Dungey up to this point, being as he is the only rookie in the 450 class to win both MX and SX titles his rookie season. That is a pretty gnar record to have your name on.
If motocross was a gentlemans sport RV wouldnt pull half the shit he does, on the other hand when dungey realizes it isn't he will do much better. RV is still a little faster, but I don't think he has the same consistency or judgement dungey does.
