So the real question is, if you could afford the bike, would you ride it or would you keep it as a souvenier?

I think I would have to ride the crap out of it. I think I would probably get new plastics and keep the ones on it so when I'm done riding it, I could put the old plastics back on, clean it up and have a clean house decoration.

SHIT!!......where is $20,000 when I need it!

That is a seriously low price on all three of those bikes! Christ......even if you didn't ride them....the bragging rights between you and your buddies is priceless.

X2. I would want to ride the thing a couple times just to know what a bike of that caliber is actually like and then I would prep it for long term storage and put the thing on display forever. Maybe loan it to the AMA hall of fame or something like that to give it a proper display.

If someone kept the thing in mint condition, i'm sure it would easily at least double in value down the road.

Would probably yield a better investment than most people's 401Ks the way they've been going!

Just the engine, suspension, and Ti kit together are about worth the asking prices.

"As is" condition? No warranty?

Forget that. I'm going for the cylinder on ebay with the powerband.
I get your reluctance regarding the "As Is" part but what are you talking about as far as a "warranty" goes? A brand new Honda CRF450R doesn't even have a traditonal "Warranty".

Probably being sold so he can pay his guys while he is hurt.
I think its a boss move.

I cant imagine he wanted to part with the bikes, especially the MXDN bike.

He was talking about getting a replacement rider for this years bike, not about selling his 2011 bike. You took it out of context.

All in perspective.
Let a local dirt track or drag racer tell ya how far that money would go.

ride it fo sho!

a buddy of mine had a hook up and bought a "factory" CR250 in the early 2000's (Tortelli's practice bike i think) and that bike was stupid fast. I had an 03' CR250 that was blinged and modded to the tits and it wasn't even close compared to my buddy's bike.

I'll go ahead and bite because obviously you really don't pay attention. These 2011 bikes, as in from last year. TwoTwo Motorsports wasn't Honda "Factory" team in 2011. Yes he did receive support and parts from them but the bikes were bought outright. So, he can sell them becaause he owns them.

Now, for 2012, TwoTwo is a Factory Honda team and Honda owns those bikes. They are given to him to use throughout the year just as Trey and JB10. So, yes techinically the 2012's are not his to give away or let anyone use without Honda's permission.
