Yes I'm screaming... Life sucks for me right now because of this economy..... My house nearly burned down a year ago. No Insurance! The company I worked for went bankrupt 2 weeks before. The county is set to bulldoze my house any day. I have no where to take my stuff. I have 2 dogs. Don't know what to do... Don't know how to give up. Life sucks today. I don't care about who's starving in Whereverland..... I'm more concerned with tomorrow in My Land...Another Sac County St. Valentine Massacre.....

As to why you didn't have insurance, it's irrelevant now. I'm a year older than you and have been through something similar but not quite as dramatic as your situation. All I can tell you is that I figured that I had at least another 20 or 30 years to go and that I wanted to make the best of it. I worked on cutting living expenses, quit using credit and lived below my means. I got used to it and now I'm working down debt and have a plan to get my own place again. It started with a simple plan and an acknowledgement that shit would be tough for a while. That's it.

Sounds like you have no choice. Personal bankruptcy might be your only out.

Good luck to you!

Well I don't know what to tell you on that one. But I can tell you what I have done. I was facing a dismal future where I live, so I packed up what little shit I needed, clothes basically, and headed off to Saskatchewan to haul crude oil out of the patch. The same thing is going on in North Dakota. Where I'm from, people can't buy a job. Out there, people can't buy employees. Serious shortage of manpower. Some good paying jobs too. Now obviously, some of this is a young mans game, but if you want to work and improve your lot in life, sometimes you just have to man up. It's impossible to find a place to live, so bring a house trailer. I'm lucky, I own my own rig. That's my RV. I'm 50, and my deal is a little different, but there are options. Sometimes, you just have to get lucky. After someone throws you a bone. Good luck, my friend.

If you owned nothing, you would be in a lot better shape. The fact that you obviously own the property most likely eliminates you from any of those government programs you've been funding all your life. If I were in your situation I would be getting rid of or selling off everything that wasn't absolutely necessary, including the burnt out shell of a house. You need a fresh start and getting out from under the shit you are currently in would be a huge weight off your shoulders. A good friend of mine had to close down all five locations of his business several years back . Said it was the hardest thing he's ever done, locking the doors and sending employees who had stuck with him for fifteen years home at a moments notice. But when the last door was locked he took his first breath of fresh air in years. You sound like you need some fresh air too.

Other than that, I would be doing every odd job I was capable of to make some cash. Good luck.

1st step - get right with God, Romans 10:9-10. 2nd step - Prayer and fasting. Nothing stands up to that.

www.Jentezenfranklin.org is probably the most up to date resource on fasting.

I hope it works out for you....but what does "being in America" have to do with anything???

Should America have paid for your insurance???

Again, sorry to hear your misfortune!

How about the red cross,or local ymca, friends, family. I doubt the internet will solve your crisis, Most places will house you in a emergency, and probably your pets.

No insurance because we had to let it lapse the last year my mom was alive. Didn't have the money. After her death I was getting the bills paid and trying to get enough ahead to pay the house insurance and my van insurance. The economy tanked before it happened. The company I was working for went bankrupt and 2-weeks later the house caught on fire. And as far as getting right with God, I'd have to get wrong with Him first. I'm pretty sure me and the Big Boss are okay with each other. Just because shit goes fowl for someone doesn't mean God's taking it out on them. Ask Job... You ever read the Old Testament? God's Law. The New Testament is about Jesus. Forgiveness. Grace. Faith. "Ye are saved by faith and faith alone..."

The America part is that if your a Single White Male there is no help for you. If your a ghetto slut poopin' out future bangers you'll have a wad of food stamps, an Escalade with 23's and your section 8 house will be fully paid including utilities. I can't even get any more Unemployment Insurance even though I paid for that insurance for a lot of years. Hell, it's hard to find a government agency where English is the default language! Se senora`? My home is about 2-miles from the mansion Governor Swartzenshitforbrains lived in until Moonbeam Jerry flew back to Sac and about 2 blocks from a cluster of apartments where the Crips and the Bloods have been shooting each other for the past couple of years and the Nortenos and Serranos jockey for territory. Me and my 2 dogs (not in the "recipe") ride right through the middle of it every morning on the way to Safeway and MacDonalds. The cops don't go in unless they got 3 cars and 6 officers. The homeless are scattered all around the hood and the fucking county wastes resources having me arrested for living in my own house because it's "un-safe" for me to be in it. I had a 40-yard dumpster in the driveway last year to haul off the debris and crap and the stupid fat pimple faced code nazis harrassed me because it was messy between the front door and the dumpster in the driveway. They came the next day and tossed the boxes of pictures and things I had salvaged from the fire in the middle of the living room floor including my mom's ashes and started boarding my windows and doors to keep me out. They then told me to leave or go to jail. I went to jail and made the cop feel like a piece of shit by the time we got downtown. He started to see I was the victim. The DA threw the case out before it got to court. That's the America I live in...

Nuklear, man, I wish I had some words of wisdom or encouragement, but I'm all out. Sometimes, it seems stuff comes out of nowhere and then Boom! And then people that live like the devil seem to have no problems at all, and have money coming out of their pockets. I can say that I'm sorry for what's goin on with you.

Dude...I'm sorry for what you're going through.

Do you have a mortgage on the house? (I'm assuming you do not)

Here's my advice: Ideally, sell the house (at the value of the lot even...and a real estate agent will list it for you) and if you can't do that, walk away from your house (you can take the memories with you). Declare BK (with the back taxes and liens...you're credit is already crap). Sell ALL of your stuff that is of any value at all (pawn it if necessary) just leave the rest in the house. And find a job! (someone mentioned North Dakota doesn't have enough employees...my cousin-with absolutely zero oil field experience-just moved there and is doing much better...try that).

that's what I'd do...

Read his blog 500guy, cool mx types used to hang out at his burned down house back in the day.

Sad deal.

You know, maybe he could demo the house himself and scrap all the old brass fittings, wire etc. for some cash. But then again, I think you need a permit to demo a house and that costs money. What a pickle.

I guess the moral of the story is, dont have friends over that throw explosive devices into the fireplace(again, from the blog)

As someone else said--load up and make a break for ND. There will be something there. Might not like it--but there's work.
