This is complete bullshit! When is the race on a real channel that I can watch on my real TV that hangs on the wall of my house? Not some internet link that comes in and out and redirects. Why the hell do they post the viewing times and then I get some evangelist or a bunch of NEWT huggers. Why can't SPEED just run all the races on their station?

SAME HERE!!!! kept running "Face the Nation" when SX was clearly supposed to be on.

there has got to be a way to ban together and boycott the owners and the sponsors when we are getting crap coverage or no coverage when we are at minimum supposed to be getting the garbage that CBS edits..... there has got to be a way to make sure that the fans (who by the way are the contributors to the sponsor's bottom line) are heard.

But that is common for all but a few forms of entertainment on TV. Most everything pays for its time slot.

it was on as scheduled in the STL metro..... i feel for all you guys where the local affiliates put on other programming... more moto and less bullchit on the show this week btw......

so... does Feld buy up big chunks of CBS time in order to get the races shown?? kinda like Feld buying a one hour info-mercial?? if so, what's its gonna take for all the CBS affiliates to air the race instead of something else?? and if many of the local CBS stations choose to air something else, the live web feed, even if it's only audio, needs to come back....

Yes, CBS airtime is bought up. The infomercial analogy is a good one. And once you understand that all motorsports and entertainment are just infomercials, it really opens your eyes.

This sport is a VERY long ways away from getting free airtime much less being paid to be on the air.

Really???? How is it good for the sport when it is not shown???? This week seems to have been a larger issue but I didn't get it last week either. I understood last week because of the NFL playoff games but this week was unacceptable. Just another example of why this country is in the shitter. No one is accountable for anything.

Thanks.. at least some of us can watch it now. CBS and its local affiliates are utterly lame...

Fired off a nice little e-mail to our local affiliate general manager about the programming. CBS has now been blocked, in my home at least. I knew that feature on the sat box would be good for something.. just didn't know it would be this.
