His crashes cost him the championship against RC in 06 both indoors and out, won in 07 SX but crashed out of the nationals. 2008... crashed and hurt in SX won the motocross title, but had no competition like he has now.

He has won 1 sx title on green and one on blue. And it was his choice to go to Yamaha, both times.

James has always won or crashed the problem is now the rest of the competition have stepped up to his level. SX only hasn't helped either. Being able to be a good test rider is also important at that level, or at least have good people around you like Dungey has done.

James is still blisteringly fast, but the rest have caught up (or at least very close) and make less mistakes.
This Guy is paying attention...well said.
