T-handle's (sockets and hex-head), open-end wrenches, the more tools you can take the better, extra spark plug and wrench.

a set of small picks come in handy as well, a torque wrench and a mud tool just in case and foam

I basicly take just about every tool in my garadge. Ive had to many problems to not be prepared. many times i had to make a couple of custom parts using what i had in the box and turned out just fine

tubes in case you get a flat. Extra levers. Spray lube. If it's muddy you spray the inside of the hubs and such to keep mud from sticking. Chain lube. Bike stand. Air of some sort.

Chairs...atleast one, but it's cool to have more for bench racing. It's summer, an EZ up. Snacks and liquids to include water and your favorite Gatorade type drink.

Do your prep on your bike the night before. Never show up to the race or practice with a bike that doesn't run. That's embarrassing and a waste of time and money.

Don't take anything but your bike and gear...then look for the biggest tool in the pits and park next to them. They'll have anything if you need it!!!

Yep...I sometimes go with a stroke that takes 3 of EVERYTHING...I ask him...you know, we're racing "podunk" track for a $5.00 trophy.
If I have something major wrong the first moto, I'll load my shit up and have a beer while everybody else finishes. If I have bolts fall out, then I didn't do my job at the house before I left and I deserve to NOT race the rest of the night.

I have an extra plug, wrench, and tire gauge in my gear bag...everything else is over kill.

I always have extra clutch and brake levers, and new clutch cable and throttle cables. I actually had a race where in practice my clutch cable broke. Boy was I happy I had the spare cable to put on. Saved drivin home after paying gate fee and entry fees to two classes.
