I have had an illness for the last seven months and haven't been able to do much, including riding. So I bought a left over 2006 RC Edition RM250 and went to work. Completed the bike about four weeks ago, now it just sits under a tarp in my garage. I should be back on the bike within the next two-three months. Below is the list of all the new parts/mods I have completed:

- Powdercoated the frame (semi gloss black)
- Powdercoated ignition/clutch covers (metallic silver)
- Hinson clutch basket, pressure plate, inner hub, wiseco stiff springs
- Provalve suspension, sprung and revalved
- Eric Gorr porting package
- FMF factory fatty pipe
- Boyesen power reeds
- Applied triple clamps
- TAG XT-1 bars
- Works Connection Elite clutch perch
- New 08 CRF450 front brake master cylinder and brake pads
- Tag front and rear sprockets
- DID ER chain
- TMDesigns chain guides
- Bridgestone 403/404 tires
- Works connection frame guards
- G2 aluminum throttle tube
- One industries graphics/backgrounds/seat cover
- Twin air filter

Born-Again virgin,..nice.

I just bought a 2005 RM250, just been rebuilt,,...thing is sweet, handles like a dream, and loads of power. I wouldn't mind tearing it down like you done, but a man's got to know his limits,....

Ride on YZ errrr ( RM ) Zack

Nice! Funny I'm about to spoil my RM with a bunch of new parts and TLC. Won't be as extravagant as that though!

I literally just ordered a full bottom & top end for mine ha. She could do with some cosmetics though, slim pickings for new graphics these days!

Go custom. A company like Fusion Graffix could make that thing look prestine. (BTW I dont own or work for Fusion, just love their stuff). They have a lot options for you at a fair price.

nice! Me too actually. Have all the parts now and plan on doing the rebuild this weekend! Also got front and rear springs from racetech to hold my 200lbs gorilla ass , LMAO!!! Here's how my RM stands today.

The 01+ RM's have the best look IMO.

This is only pic I have of my 2007 RM250 when it was all apart. I bought it brand new & took it & stripped to the frame & had it sandblasted & had all the welds rewelded & then we clear powdercoated it so you can see all the[/img] welds. It came out mint. the pics don't show it. you need to see it in person.

I started with a brand new 2007 RM250. Ron Bushey (John Dowd's old mechanic did the engine & assembled the entire bike for me)

Sandblasted the frame & clear powdercoated it.
Talon hubs with yellow Excel rims & with Excel spline drive spokes
Braking oversized 270mm front wave rotor & Braking rear wave rotor
Motor completely disassembled & balanced & ported like John Dowd's 2004 RM250 outdoor national bike
YZ250 Racers choice piston kit
YZ250 V-Force 3
TMV 16oz flywheel weight
Factory Connection kit suspension
Pro Circuit triple clamps
Twinwall bars with ARC pro clutch perch & carbon composite levers & aluminum throttle tube.
Motion pro yellow clutch & throttle cables
Just installed a Venhill yellow braided steel front brake line
Lightspeed Carbon fiber skid plate & frame guards.
Lightspeed carbon fiber mag cover
Hinson clutch basket & Hinson clutch cover.
SDG tall seat
DRC red drilled washers.
DID ERT2 gold with Pro Taper sprockets 14x48 gearing
2010 RMZ front fender & number plates
We cut the side number plates to resemble the RMZ's also
