New team for Friese I guess. He just did the Rock River shoot a few weeks ago. Has anyone ever appeared in two different team photo shoots before the season began? Tblazier/ teyblyy? DC?

If you don't get the JT thing, they were THE HOTTEST mx gear company from the mid 70s up to early 90s. If you didn't have JT gear, you wanted JT gear. The helmet is shaped like the old JT ALS-2 because that is their styling point. Any other shape would have had ZERO appeal. Maybe they'll change it up later but it's obvious they are here to capitalize on the nostalgia crowd. Only problem is, that nostalgia crowd gives you no credibility if your only factory riders are former national champions from the 70s, 80s, and 90s. They had to have a factory rider on the circuit.

Personally, I love the helmet and the gear. For the guy who said "why not by it for $10 from ebay, with shipping?" The answer is, the 70s-90s gear was junk compared to today's stuff. Even worse, it's now 30 year old junk. You'd be crazy to ride mx in a 30 year old helmet anyway. The new gear with new materials and old styling is what a lot of old guys are looking for. At most of the local races I go to, the old guys make up about 12-15% of the market. However, they make up probably 75% or better of the money that's available to be spent on MX. I think they're on a good plan.

As for the bikes, I don't remember the last time I saw a bike with NO manufacturer logs on it. Good for them. I hope they have a lot of success. Mikey had some good rides on the Suzuki the last time around. I'm anxious to see how he does on the privateer version.

The problem I see with the Helmet and Gear is that look how many companies have tried to bring back a "retro" look. Now go to a supercross, national, or even your local track and tell me how many times you see someone in the "retro" looking gear. JT must of offered MA a lot of money for him to leave his long time sponsors of Alpinestar and Shark Helmets...

Some call it retro I call it classic. Classic looks never go out of style, unlike some of the stuff that is out now. If you can't roll with the JT gear you have no fashion sense, that's just MHO.

if you think you can get an old ALS-2 for 10 bucks good luck. when they do come up on ebay they go for as much or more than a new helmet. I agree that riding in one would not likely be safe.

Remember that sometimes facts and truth (lowercase t) can sting just like anything else. I respect all pro riders, and I am a big DV fan, but you have had your shots at the alessis for a while, you can't hate them for firing back.

And please god make the threats of suing stop! When I read what Jeff said I thought, "oh man, he is being emotional and talking crap." When i read that you wrote he should take it down or risk being sued i thought..."oh man, what Jeff said must have some truth:"

Somebody in this thread should probably take a look at how current riders end up on Moto boards slinging mud...

This is a place where guys that don't ride for a paycheck anymore can talk shit, and some are pretty damn good at it... Well some of them may not be here anymore too.

Gotta love reading this stuff, but hasn't one of these fine young gentleman had enough off track drama surrounding them for a while?
