2 huge walnut trees in my yard have been up-rooted so far but my house is ok (i think, i'm at work), 3 direct neighbors have tree's laying in their living room.

crazy shit up here today. i live right by the mouth of the canyon in Ogden... 97mph winds all day. calling it a category 2 hurricane type wind.

oh, and probably be without power until saturday. so there's that also

If by "arguably" he meant that his statement could be "argued on", then he's right.

Oh no.... please don't remind me of the worst dirt bike I have ever owned, and my first bike was a 1976 Husqvarna 250cr.
I spent boatloads of money on that turd and finally gave up after never coming to terms with that bike. I don't how Bradshaw ever raced that bike indoors and even won a national at high point on oneShocked

i bought one and drooled over it all winter only to trade it in in the spring. i loved my 97 cr125 until i rode the yamaha. it was almost unfair how much more power it had. the 250 had good power for me cause i was coming off 125's but the chassis sucked. sure was pretty though!

Funny, that was the bike I bought after being out of the sport for 13 years, and after the first ride I Was trying to figure out why MX bikes got so much worse than the 85 Cr 250 I used to have.

Who the hell tested and approved that rigid POS for production? Remember MC left Honda partially because of that bike.

I was out of the sport during those years, but I think I remember a good amount of hype for it the few times I picked up a mag around that time. I'd like to ride one just to see what it's like to have your teeth rattle when you rev...

i must be the only guy who actually liked the 97 cr250. and i had a new 96 also. i loved how skinny and flat on top the bike was. and with a cr500 rubber mount handle bar clamp, it didn't vibrate as bad. with some fork and rear shock work the bike was pretty good i thought. power was great, turned pretty good and just loved the stock look. one of my favorite bikes i had. ok let the beatings begin

a 98 i rode was probably the fastest i ever rode. big, long high revvin pull. out of a 85, 86, 88(i own with 96 suspension), 96, 98, 2001 (i own),2002(i own) the 02 handles the best, 96 best wheelies 88 highest top mph awesome seat, love my 02 except no low end at all and kinda hard to hang onto with that much top end. 10000 rpm on a 250 two stroke is a wild ride lol. i think that 98 had the most overall power. my 01 is a great bike but i ride the 02 and even the 88 more. that says it all

The '97 CR250 and the Cannondale felt the same to me. Weird.

I agree, my two race pals got new 97's before I did, and after I rode one of them, I immediately changed plans to buy a new one...ugg. My 1996 was just a great bike.

You're not alone. I had an ex-Mike Craig HoT race bike and I loved it. It was the fastest 250 I have ever ridden and the suspension was top shelf stuff......mind you, it was worked over pretty hard by Pro Circuit both in the motor and suspension departments. I loved the way it handled and it made a very precise woods weapon when trail ridden. Wish I still had it.

I really liked the motor on the '97. Couldn't come to grips with that chassis though. Continually found my self on my head in corners with no warning whatsoever. Definition of "sketchy".

I had a 07 CR250. That bike vibrated like a jackhammer. My hands would sometimes get numb before I would get armpump.

The frame was spec'ed for a 250kg + 750cc transalp type bike or a nsr500 doing 250kms +

Who in honda japan okay'ed that for release?

I had a 95 kx250 when my mate bought the honda, absolutely no way would i have swapped.

Wonder if anyones tried to grind some flex into that frame...lol

I dirt track and ice race a 1997 CR250 it handles good for me. I have did some suspension work and modified the head stay brackets. The 97 engine produces some horsepower, that why i like it

handling issues aside, i believe everyone commented on how fast the engine was in 97.
