Hope.

I think it's the single most powerful thing in our lives.

It's gotten me thru some very dark times.

It's gotten me up really long hills on my Bicycle.

Hope.

The real Race Fuel.

Still thinking ahead and positively.

Always.

HIPEC is apparently a new option for your situation. From what I have read, it has major advantages over previous treatments.
Battle on old buddy.

Powerful stuff brother.

Get the holeshot on this thing and charge the whole moto.

Fight this stuff physically and more importantly, mentally.

Positive thoughts to the universe to you.

Continue to keep us posted Dougie. And do the research. The more you know, the more ammo you got.

There was a line in "Dumb and Dumber" where the girl tells Jim Carrey that the chamces of him getting with her are 1 in a million or something to that effect. And his response is an excited, "So you're saying there's a chance!" No matter what odds they are giving you, thats the attitude that it takes. I've had friends and relatives who beat cancer tell me that the biggest part of the battle was the mental aspect. I hope that you can take the passion and determination that you had every time you put a wheel on the track, and devote the same passion to beating this shit. My thoughts and prayers are with you.

10-12 yrs?

How many time has it seemed like I had nothing or couldn't think of something to say, or know what to say?

Yeah, well, this is like the first time
I often wonder how many years its been myself. I know I was in my 40s so it had to be at least 11 years but it could be 14.

Last night was rough. Not because of the news but just because I have decent and not so decent days. Some days Im almost normal. No shits, little to no stomach issues. On those days I eat like a pig. I work around the ranch. And Ive been making a bicycle video doing geriatric level tricks Wink But on the bad days I bloat up with gas like a ballon, I get tea shooting out my southern end. I have cramps that keep me from sleeping or eating and make me feel "sorta" sick to my stomach but I dont get sick and its relentless for hours on end. I think that Im going to actually feel a shit load better once thesurgery is done (even while in the hospital) because at least I'll have some good drugs. They do give you drugs right? I dont want to have to bite on a tooth brush handle and be told to sack up.

I wonder how the body works. My problem is located very low in the right abdomen, yet most of the daily problem and icky feeling is from just below the rib cage to a few inches below the belly button with occasional tenderness in the lower abdomen.

Anyway today Im looking forward to meeting Pete. And its a beautiful so/cal fall day.

Doug, My dad had Colon Cancer back in 75` that was way advanced and had a 20% chance to live 6 mos. He lived for 7 years and that was when only 25% survived for 5 yrs. after diagnosed. My mother beat stage IV cancer twice with the last bout being 5 yrs. ago and she`s 79. My wife, maw in-law , and sister in-law are cancer survivors as well. I had Melanoma in 97` that didn`t look good but turned out fine. Keep that positive attitude and determination because I personally think It`ll go a long way in kicking your problems ass. I wish you the best of luck and all the buddies you have on here will help get you through this. Stay strong.
