Edited Date/Time 1/27/2012 2:28pm
List the thousands of parts that are on a 4T and NOT on a 2T:

2 throttle cables
1 hot start
12 point oil change
oil in my frame
oil filter
$2000 exhaust
Timing chain/sprokets
oil pump
timing chain tensioner
UMM VALVES (reed VS grenade)
Messy drain plug
Big Head VS tiny head
The list goes on and on...

Most people who hate 4 strokes "4t" only hate them because they don't know how to rebuild them

so I assume you have a 2T in your car since the 4T has to many parts for you

It's funny that 50 years ago greasers with cigarettes rolled into their sleeve could work on 4-stroke cars, and it was cool. At some point men became bitches and forgot how to work on an engine.

To all the "OH GAWD 2T SO EASIER WORK ON" guys: greasers from 50 years ago were more technically inclined than you are. You are what's wrong with today's generation.

Yeah, what the fuck do you mean messy drain plugs. I just don't get the vs. threads they are completely unnecessary.
By the way My 450 has no hot start cable. Maybe your 2000 Yzf400 does but today's thumpers are far superior than any two stroke out.

Edit* my 450 does not have oil IN the frame either and my exhaust came with the bike and the most exspensive aftermarket pipe is only like 1200 so STFU.

thats the dumbest thing i have ever read, did the cars 50 years ago turn 14k rpm @ 14:1 compression? did they have the same tolerances? are they constructed from the same materials?

really? is that why open class 4 strokes have to race in the 250 class to be competitive?

i love my 4 strokes more than anyone (bet i own more of them than you do btw,) but when you go talking like that you just sound retarded.

Women seem to find it attractive when they come over and see an engine completely torn down and layed out and to be able to explain to them all the parts and how they work lol.

You're right through, the average american man in current time has very little mechnical inclination. And i'm not even talking rebuilding an engine. I'm talking about basic carpentry skills, plumbing, fixing the lawnmower, changing oil in the car, etc. It doesn't seem like men care to learn about that stuff and it baffles me how clueless some really are. I've had grown men ask me how to check oil or how to jump start a battery.

Terry, don't cave in...that's bullshit. The 2t and 4t talk is just from pure stupidity. I don't understand how these douche bags can't get it right....

I just purchased every single part to rebuild my '08 250SX. Piston kit, rod kit, every bearing, every seal, crank keys, complete OEM gasket set, some washers and stuff I probably don't need.

Total cost including 8% state sales tax was $529. I really think that this is all you need to know.

We know, you say it every time it comes up! Don't give up though, you're bound to win everyone over eventually.

My personal pet peev, re USA. On TV cop shows, the characters actually say "G S W" for gun shot wound Why??? using the initials on paper -time saving, speaking the initials is five syllables as opposed to three syllables in full - just stupid.
