Pretty arrogant statement btw ...millions of people from many countries died to keep Hitler at bay not just the US forces. It is rememberance weekend in the UK this weekend.. maybe a little more respect could be used for all those people regardless of nationality who fought united against an evil regime.

I am glad that it is over. I think the punishment is appropriate. Putting JS7 in jail serves no purpose. He can do more good in the community. The sentence is a reflection of the offense charged and has nothing to do with him being "rich". We should put it all to rest and focus on racing. Go Kyle Regal!!!!!!!!!!

From what I know, there was no real case here and it was pretty weak. A trial would have been costly on both sides. This is likely why he's getting "withhold of adjudication"...after all is said and done, it never happened...he was never "convicted" of anything.
Withhold of adjudication has nothing to do with not having a case, more like they didn't want to saddle him with a conviction just yet that could hurt his livelihood, and if he screws up the charge will go on his record.

Looks like it was a delayed pronouncement of judgment where if JS does his community service the case will be dismissed. There is no conviction of the charge. Both misdemeanor and felony result in a criminal record, but in this case there is no conviction, so record will probably ultimately show arrest followed by dismissal.

Not going to comment about Lohan other than to say it is a jail overcrowding issue. For James, wealth didn't have anything to do with it. First time offender + cooperation + a plea + money = getting off easy. Those are pretty much in order of importance. I think the punishment fit the crime.

In NY he could have got an ACD. So as long as he was good for a year charges would be dropped. However if something else happen you get punished for that plus the previous charge. He should have gotten that.

And who cares if he is a millionaire.

His "community service" should include multiple public ride days out at his private track!

On a side note, this thread takes me back to the phone call on pulp mx, the rumors, and even a few loyal fans who were in denial that it ever happened. Can't forget GuyB's April Fools joke, which convoluted things even worse.
