My screen name was jwhitemx15 then too... and if you recall, I'm the guy who started bashing the "spodeboy" tracks and that got way out of control!!! Tongue

You set the bar really high with your tracks and all of the imitations just "didn't match the hype". Woohoo

Anyway, good to see you're still into it and I'd like to build one of these for my three little racers (7, 6, and 5 months!).

I am hoping you are right about the "fortune" part. Since Rainbow closed I have been working diligently on ideas that could keep me involved with the things I love most... my son, dirt bikes, racing and giving back. I am working to make a pricing structure that also donates part of the proceeds to a charitable, moto-related effort.

Thanks for all of the positive comments. I will do my best to get this into production so your 3 kids can make their own setup.

And sorry for the slow replies everyone. I had to take my son (Luke) out trick-or-treating last night and being a single parent, it was a long night.

LOL... that is great!! I have been dreaming about this since I was about 6 years old, bunching up the comforter or using pillows to make jumps. I hope my son knows how good he has it. And I am 41 years old now and I even run a few laps around this thing.

I would've loved it as a kid all i had was bits of lego and a lumpy dooner (comforter) but still I had a full grid and could make the track any way i wanted haha
It is customizable in many ways. I will soon post pics of different configurations to show a few possibilities. I like the Emig quote too. I hope to have him in my commercial some day!

I love that idea!! I think of those type scenarios constantly!

I am hoping to do some stop animation videos with this setup but time is always the factor. Thanks and keep the creative ideas flowing.

This thing is so sweet. I dont even have kids and I want to buy it....lol

I used to grind out hours playing with my toy bikes when I was little. Used to make my tracks out of modeling clay so it would rut up. This would have saved me hours of build time.

You have nailed it.
Half the fun would be making new tracks.
I love the modular design.
You dont need the fancy table as you can use your own and this would keep the price down.
It would all fit into a box nicley.

This is awesome, something I have always dreamed of, my wife and I attempted one awhile back , made it out of wire ,glue and old newspaper, worked alright but not as modular. Track was set one way. Would you be willing to give any pointers on how a guy could do this on his own, half the fun would be building I think..

I also have to say you've got a great product here!! I worked in Bicycle Helmet design/manufacturing for years and became very familiar with what is possible with vacuum forming and molds. I had envisioned doing something similiar but it would have been a non-modular track; ie, creat a mold of a supercross track and start making vacuum formed reproductions with screened polycarbonate sheet. I like your idea even better and your attention to detail is fantastic. Now, get this thing marketed or sold before the chinaman does!! I don't know how many ramps, pools, rails my kids have for their finger skateboards and this is surely to sell as well. Nice job.

Cool set up, I want one. My son is named Lucas "lukercross" so I'm assuming your son is as well. I prefer "lucascross" but thats besides the point. HOW MUCH? I would for sure buy one from you if you were building them for sale. I would drive to AZ to get it to avoid the risk of damage during shipping. If you are considering building these, please let me know details. At the same time, I wouldn't blame you one bit if you were keeping this all to yourself so your son was the only little guy on the planet that had one...............one of a kind. You could do a lot with these things, different tracks like A1 or Las Vegas, the Phoenix track, etc etc.

LOL... both. Are you hiring!? I am working with nothing but a high school diploma and the belief that you can do whatever you set your mind to. I knew nothing of traditional design (as taught in school) nor Photoshop, Corel Draw, 3D Studio Max, Vacuum forming, Sculpting, Wood working... yada, yada. Everything I have learned was from a deep desire to know more and learn it as I go. Hopefully others find inspiration in that. I would NEVER suggest others dodge formal schooling but also suggest you NEVER use it as your excuse.

I would totally be willing to divulge things I have learned along the way but I will tell you honestly, this is a lot of time, money and work, trial and error, frustration, on-and-on. I plan to sell the pieces to save you that frustration but leave them customizable enough that you can choose/change your layout, paint them as you wish, design your own custom bale covers and trackside objects. I only display the game table to show what is possible but have other set ups that I will show shortly.

Thanks Elliott!! I hope you are doing well. I almost ditched this idea a few times when I met certain challenges but was committed to seeing it through. It took about 20 months more than I had anticipated but I kept scrapping ideas that I thought could be improved. This is my "best attempt" that I was willing to put my name on and show to others. I am glad you like it!!

I have been looking into it , you are right, spendy and alot of dedicated time. I agree with one of the other posts, you better get this patented before someone steals it. How about a partnership with MXS Toys??? I know I would buy a set up, I am still in total aww..

I don't find nearly as much joy in hoarding my idea as I do sharing it with others to enjoy. That was a large portion of my design... and truthfully, I saw a business opportunity as well. I will keep you posted the moment I have a retail setup and can offer these to the public. -DIZ

It is great to see so many others who share the same thoughts I do. I have been addressing all that is mentioned here and have waited patiently to release these "spy photos". I couldn't wait any longer!!

Thanks to all who have taken the time to comment and I hope they keep rolling in!! It really keeps me going. If I am slow to reply, I apologize in advance. I am a one man team currently (and a single Father to boot) and balancing my time is by far the biggest challenge of all.
