No one talking about this yet?

He mentioned Grant twice, as well as Townley and Alessi.

We talked a little bit about it last night during the race, pretty cool combo and it is awesome having Wardy back directly involved with the sport.

The RX vid for those who havent seen it:

Wonder if Alessi's stock went up or down in their eyes based on last night?

Anyone else find it interesting that this interview took place under Kawasaki's awning? Of course, it also crossed my mind that Matthes needs to stay close to Kawasaki's buffet offerings.

It sounds like Wardy has his eyes on Grant and is ready to do some mentoring to help him stay healthy. I hope it works out that way and we can see Grant ride to his full potential, for an even deeper field at the top level.

Townley! Keep that guy healthy and we'll see his full potential.

Hut, I am pretty sure from a interview with MC, he sounded as though Grant didn't like to listen to his advice or opinons when he was on 250F with Honda.. Was a long time ago, howeeer I do remember MC not really pumped with his attitude by the interview..

Sounds like Grant is a bit arrogant and doesn't listen to people well... I mean if MC is telling you something you would think he would listen.

Also Townley seemed in his interview that the first year back he jsut wanted to do outdoors and work his way back into Supercross..

Maybe that is the plan, pick up Townley and Grant. That seems like it would be a damn good team to start out with as long as they can stay healthy.

I hear ya but I would have to think that Josh Grant has been humbled and matured a lot since those days. I don't know him personally but it might be different for him now. Be a shame to see a bad attitude ruin what could be an incredible career, but it happens all the time.

With the way Townley rode this race, maybe might think differently now. He would still have 3 months to get ready for sx. Its not like he hasn't raced it before. If the deal was right...?

it would be really cool if jeff could work with those 2 on his team, and they both manage to get a full season under their belts wihtout injury. Both of them are capable of beating anyone when they're fully fit! would be amazing to see another 2 potential winners in the mix

Stewart. Was his falling out with just Brooks or Mike Kranyak also? It would be great to see 7 back on a Kawi.

In the RacerX interview, Kranyak alluded to there being legal issuesbetween them that he did not want to comment on. I would say there won't be any reunion forthcoming. Although it sounds like Stewart's falling out ended up being with BOTH of them.

I have to agree with you.....if they both stayed healthy it would be a kick ass team that could be a regular podium result outdoors. But the track record of both Grant and Townley with injuries is not so good. I would love to see both of those guys put in a solid season with no major injuries....that would be super cool!

I love the idea of Jeff Ward back in the sport at that level. He was an amazingly dedicated racer. He will have tons to offer to the current crop of racers.

Well Ward's business partner seems to have a lot of money. They could hire Townley and Grant to race and hire Wey as a test rider/ backup and in the worst case Wardy could probably throw on the gear and still be top 15 on any given day.
Cool

The way Nyk Wey was riding last night , and with the type of attitude he has , i think he would ( and still is ) a plus for a lot of teams. Always dug Nyk.....AND , he looked really , really good last night! I think he is going to have a great season!

Another tid-bit about Nyk was that interview he had last night , and pitting out of a van. Class act. He just enjoys being there and looked like he was having a lot of fun doing it. Some other riders act like they are being tortured with 'having to race" or "having to do good".......Nyk seems like he's just taking it all in and having fun with the sport. His interviews are some of the best ever to! Just as good behind the mic as he is on the track.
