I can't believe we're talking about JS and some BS video from his home track and him riding alone, on the eve of a race that he said he would be at and racing all out for the million bucks but pulled out of at the last minute. I used to be the biggest fan, now I can't stand his garbage. The idea that he would release this video at this time shows how vain he is, trying to take some of the show away from the MEC. Douche bag.

Lets please stop with the excuses for this guy please. For two years now, I've been the one providing all the excuses, and defending James when he did bone head things that pissed on the fans, but this is all nuts now. Who cares who he's negotiating with? take one of the bikes in the garage and go race in Vegas, get the fans back on your side, show you still want to race.

First he assures the fans, over and over that he will be racing the first 4 races outdoors MINIMUM. He even repeated it on Dave Despain's show for all the fans to see and hear. Then of course, he pulls out at the last minute and says "we're just not ready"

Then he says he's completely focused on getting ready to rule at the Monster Energy Cup and he pulls out at the last minute saying "we're just not ready". It's complete Bull Shit.

What about all the 'fans' who made travel arrangements and bought tickets etc. based on seeing James race this track designed by Ricky and Jeremy? he says he's all about the fans, well it sure doesn't seem like it.

Who gives a fuck how 'ready' you are, throw a bike in a truck and show up to the race. Stop the bull shit.

That's your opinion and that's cool.
IMO if you are very close to signing with one of two teams for possibly years to come you better make sure you pick the bike to race with that you are going to sign with soon. Personaly I'm a fan of all the top guys for what they have done to get where they are at and not what they have done for me lately, if any of them wanted to race once a year or not at all I'm ok with that. I just try to look at things from all sides and understand I dont have copies of the contracts or all the facts.
Not making excuses, again I don't care if the guy ever races again, just stating my opinion.

Outside of James, the best finishing Yamahas were JGR, maybe they have some things figured out that JS camp couldn't.

So much speed. It's unreal how fast he can rail a supercross track. That quad was sick too.

The media and people in these forums have stated that Stewart hates the Yamaha for some time now. So finally Stewart was free from his Yamaha contract and could actually choose whatever brand he likes most. Isn't it strange he choose to still ride that garbage turde Yamaha huh ?

I think this is all B.S ! I have never heard Stewart say he doesn't like the Yamaha ! It's all media B.S ! I twittered Mr pulpmx and asked if he heard Stewart say in person: I hate the Yamaha. The answer was short and simple: "No, doesn't need to". But still mr pulp mention Stewart and the bad Yamaha in most of his shows the last 4-5 weeks. That guy must be bitter on Yamaha or something like that !

Ive never heard any comments about the Yamaha itself, but I have heard comments about the KYB suspension. He wouldn't be the first person who rode a Yamaha to dislike it. I know when IT9 went from Factory Honda to Valli he demanded Showa suspension, even though he was getting GYTR parts from Factory Yamaha.

look how fast he went through the whoops...it sounds like he let off at one point he was going so fast.

RV is the only one with the speed to run with him IMO. everyone else is done for..as long as he can stay on 2 wheels
what is this factory yz450f of which you speak?

more sick, the stewart compound was in the last mx vs atv game and i could never get any kind of rhythm on that track- it's even too technical for my video game skills (as limited as they may be)

he's a beast, but i still totally resent a SX only contract. he could have made a run at GOAT but doesn't have the commitment/drive that RC did.

what the hell is that whisteling sound when he lets off the throttle? Is it that crazy air intake for the backward motor?

i was wondering the same thing!! the more i listen to it though, i think its just the wind whisteling through his helmet!!! not sure though!! another thing i was wondering is when he lands the quad it sounds almost like the whistling sound for just a sec, i was trying to figure out if it was those ultra expensive forks that might sound like that when they are going thrue the stroke?

It's the wind or Stewart whisteling . Definitely not coming from the bike, that I can promise !

Oh wait ! Maybe it's the blue fender mounted on a Suzuki that is coming lose !!!???

Interesting how a lot of people making comments about the whoop section, gotta be one of the shortest/weakest whoop sections I've seen in a SX.

I'm not commenting on James speed, that whoop section is very short and has a fast section leading into them. James only hits the throttle for a short time once in the middle of the whoops before going into the turn. A long deep section of whoops coming out of a turn is another story.

I cannot wrap my mind around the thought of him leaving a team where he calls all the shots and then go sign elsewhere for a team riding the same bike? I just dont see the logic in it. If the blue bike was that good then why not just stay where he was?
Stewart has been caught up by the new breed, and he will be retired before he is 30 with no skill in any any other profession. I think he knows it and he's trying to cash in for a couple of seasons to keep that lifestyle going for as long as possible after he stops earning the big salary.

Can't blame him, I'd do the same in his position. He's choosing the bike based on $$$, not performance. I think he knows he can't win a series with RV,RD and TC lining up against him at the same gate at the same time. After all, his titles on the big bikes were against Short and Reed. Those are the best guys he beat - ever. He never beat the likes of RC, RV or RD over a full series so why would he start now? Best make some money before he bows out. It's an auction.

Bingo. Jeremy knows James better than anyone, and he can make the bike be what James wants it to be.

He doesn't need another profession. Even with his burn rate, he's a very, very wealthy guy. Money is the least of his worries.

There have been plenty of Twits from his bloated French housemate. When Pourcel quit for the first time, "Frenchie" was twittering...about guessing James wasn't alone in the Yamaha opinions.

Why is it that he figured out a way to shirk his Yamaha contractual obligations if he didn't hate the bike? I still say he wasn't out of the contract like he thought he was, and Yamaha is allowing him to save face and find a team to ride for (on Yamahas of course).

Has anyone stopped to think.....this guy has been doing nothing since MAY! That wasn't enough time to find a team to ride for? He had nothing else to do but figure out what he was doing for 2012, but he is still trying to figure it out? Everyone else that raced right up until a month ago are all set to go for A1, and he is the straggler? He could have spent the whole summer getting his own team together and lining up sponsors, could be teamed up with Alessi right now on a 2-man team on Suzukis. He could have done SX only and let Alessi do MX only. How the hell is he the last guy to have things lined up?

Yep, J-Bone has been working on getting the bike to work for James since it came out, without any input from James by the way. He's a magician, you see. Even if he knows James better than James knows himself, how does that translate to bike setup? A team of Yamaha engineers couldn't figure it out for him, but Jeremy will. What needs to be figured out anyway, is what is in James' head, not bike setup.

Jeremy knew how to wrench on a bike when James would smoke everyone on anything, regardless how it was setup (the 125s). That is James biggest problem, if he does not dominate he blames the bike. Pre-2011 he absolutely loved the Yamaha and had nothing but rhetoric about how he was going to smoke everyone. His stated goal was to dominate, not win the title, dominate. Imagine what happened to his head when RV ran him down from a 9th place start that time. James is the fastest man on the planet, so it must have been the bike, right? That's his thinking, anyway.

At 25 yes.....at 35? If he had nothing else to fall back to, he would have money issues at this burn rate.

However, I don't think he will have any issue with money ever, since he will be in NASCAR in a few years and will make more money there than he ever did in MX. He will be the first prominent African-American there and it will be a huge deal, much bigger than his presence in MX is. Even if he never won a race there or was even competitive, the color of his skin will make him a huge factor. A prominent black driver in NeckCAR? Are you kidding? For the record, those guys don't charter private jets, they buy them.

I wasn't MC Hammers bookkeeper either....or Mike Tyson's.

An educated guess tells anyone with half a brain that James' paychecks will take a big hit this year and in the coming years (in MX).

Did you read the whole post or just stop after the first sentence?

Why didn`t you compere him to somebody who`s doing good after his pro career? What makes you think that he`ll blow it all and not invest most of it? Do you think he spends his paycheck as soon as it comes in ? Where did you get all these assumptions that he`ll be broke as soon as he`s done racing?
