An educated guess tells anyone with half a brain that James' paychecks will take a big hit this year and in the coming years (in MX).

Did you read the whole post or just stop after the first sentence?

Why didn`t you compere him to somebody who`s doing good after his pro career? What makes you think that he`ll blow it all and not invest most of it? Do you think he spends his paycheck as soon as it comes in ? Where did you get all these assumptions that he`ll be broke as soon as he`s done racing?
He isn't going to be broke. If you read my post you would see I didn't say that. What I said is he'll be even richer after going into NASCAR. If he never did anything else, he would one day be broke at his current spending level. That isn't going to happen though. His fortune now will be dwarfed by what he makes in 5 years or whenever he enters the car racing scene. Please read and comprehend.

OK, what makes you think that his paychecks will take a big hit this or the following couple of years? Is it some kind of inside knowledge?

Because he finished 4th last year, and is no longer the guaranteed champ like he was in say 2008-2009? You really need this explained to you? We watched Reed and Pourcel unable to get their demands met last year. The economy is in the toilet, and factory teams are outsourcing their programs. James is going into negotiations as a question mark for the first time in awhile. I would bet his (potential) contract with JGR is worth less than his Red Bull sponsorship. He'll still make a lot of money, not what he made previously though. If you don't understand this is most likely the case, I don't know what to tell you.

All I see is a lot of assumptions without an actual knowledge. Some would think that with economy in a shitter big corporations would suffer a little, but it isn`t a case. They make more than anytime in a history.

Ok, once again you are right. Despite any use of logic or common sense, when it comes to James those things don't factor in. The word is that he wants to be on Suzuki but they can't pay him nearly enough.....to the point that he might be back on a Yamaha? But the numbers being thrown around are so unbelieveably good that here we are closing in on November and he has no done deal.

In a related story, Mike Alessi is set to make the same money this year he did at KTM last year. Something else I have no KNOWLEDGE of.....just assumption.

Lets please stop with the excuses for this guy please. For two years now, I've been the one providing all the excuses, and defending James when he did bone head things that pissed on the fans, but this is all nuts now. Who cares who he's negotiating with? take one of the bikes in the garage and go race in Vegas, get the fans back on your side, show you still want to race.

First he assures the fans, over and over that he will be racing the first 4 races outdoors MINIMUM. He even repeated it on Dave Despain's show for all the fans to see and hear. Then of course, he pulls out at the last minute and says "we're just not ready"

Then he says he's completely focused on getting ready to rule at the Monster Energy Cup and he pulls out at the last minute saying "we're just not ready". It's complete Bull Shit.

What about all the 'fans' who made travel arrangements and bought tickets etc. based on seeing James race this track designed by Ricky and Jeremy? he says he's all about the fans, well it sure doesn't seem like it.

Who gives a fuck how 'ready' you are, throw a bike in a truck and show up to the race. Stop the bull shit.

IMO if you are very close to signing with one of two teams for possibly years to come you better make sure you pick the bike to race with that you are going to sign with soon. Personaly I'm a fan of all the top guys for what they have done to get where they are at and not what they have done for me lately, if any of them wanted to race once a year or not at all I'm ok with that. I just try to look at things from all sides and understand I dont have copies of the contracts or all the facts.
Not making excuses, again I don't care if the guy ever races again, just stating my opinion.
I say he lines up three potential bikes and races one for each moto of the ME..that way he gets a feel for the bike and the team in a race environment-theres no pressure of losing when your switching bikes etc and the fans would love it...and before you say thats crazy Bogl;e had to do it briefly last weekend it would be sweet-

There I found a sollution(:

Man, the things you say. Yep, everyone's doing great these days. Ask any bike dealer, I'm sure he'll agree! I guess you don't even agree that the economy IS in the shitter? I'm sure you can find a few companies doing better (oil companies?) but on the whole the vast majority of companies (big or otherwise) are doing horribly from a historical point of view. You do realize that motorcycle sales in the U.S. are close to half what they were a few years ago? Half! That's 1 million units of sales vs. 500,000 units. Are you following this? FedEx employees were offered a 5% across the board payCUT not too long ago, how is that for bad news? I really don't know what else to say to help you understand this now. I know it's James and any negativity (no matter how realistic) is painful, but come on already.
