sometimes i see these titles and i cant help but wonder if it's just someone trying to start the next 12+ page thread.

the way i see it, james doesnt owe anyone anything BUT, with that being said, he is about as important to motocross as Damon Bradshaw is. talk about him from jan 7 to may 5

I just hate James so much I rounded up. Lol I hope he has his shit together for 2012 and races both series though. I just don't wanna hear how bad his bike sucks every time he takes a soil sample.

Nope. Not at all. Only one I'd take back is the one where I told the guy to go fuck himself. Everything else was legit for a Motocross forum. I was very happy for him last year when he got a win after his bad luck spree. I didn't think it was cool Friday night before Pala a few weeks ago James tweeted that he was glad the last national was tomorrow cause he's kinda over them this Summer. Bottom line I guess I am a JS Entertainment hater. When Bubba comes back I'll start clapping. Definately want him to race full time.

In my opinion james does owe his fns something. The kid said his fans would see him race this mx season and didn't do a one. Then said he doin the monster cup... So he should be a man of his word and give the fans what they were promised.. James on a dirt bike track and not a truck track!!!

There would be no talk about what he was riding if he was fulfilling his contract with Yamaha. How funny is it that he now claims that Yamaha was contracted with L&M which he is no longer affiliated with (because he bought out his contract with them? or bought the team? or bought something besides police lights?) and POOF, he can now go ride whatever he feels like. As if Yamaha has the same interest (or pays the same price) if James isn't on the team and a Millsaps is. James screwed a bunch of people in this whole deal.

It seems just a bit sleazy to sign up for 2 years of big bucks and then try to ooze out of your obligations when you don't like the bike anymore. I am assuming he liked it at one point, otherwise why sign? Yamaha really got their money's worth on this one a 4th place in SX and then a bunch of bad-mouthing of the product. Let's not forget the injury-plagued 2010 either. Funny that contracts exist because a man's word doesn't amount to a pile of anything these days, but it seems contracts can't even force a guy to exhibit some honor.
If Yamaha wanted to make a contract that he couldn't have gotten out of they would have. These corporations have TEAMS of lawyers analyzing every word of a contract like this. If there was a way for JS or the team to get out of the contract, YAMAHA knew about it before it was signed.

We're (you're) discussing this like we're (you're) even certain of what actually happened. Did Yamaha drop JS? Did JS buy out his contract? Was the contract with the team rather than its riders? We know absolutely none of this BECAUSE CONTRACTS ARE PRIVATE.

he wouldn't owe his fans anything if he would keep his mouth shut...what he needs to do is not pretend to think about showing up at something and then not showing...that is what fans and haters dislike the most...

be true to your word or keep your mouth shut...tell us ur staying home all summer, we will deal with it, but don't throw BS around about maybe showing up, or wanting to, or trying to...then not show...

According to Rich Taylor on pulpshow: Stewart testing CRF450 on Honda testtrack 2days ago .

The JGR Suzuki deal seems to have fallen apart. JGR gets the factory Yamaha support and Stewart doesn't want to be in that.

I just read this and here is a quote from racerhead.

"A few months ago, a highly-respected source told me James had another year on his Yamaha deal and it was going to take a mountain of money for another team to buy that out. And, plus, the Japanese teams don’t really like to do business like that. So why was James maybe considering a switch? Because he apparently did not have another year with Yamaha. The confusion probably goes back to the whole Stewart/Brooks/L&M Racing breakup, which we can’t get anyone involved to really comment on."

NO ONE has ever broken a contract before, right? Yamaha regularly makes contracts that the riders "can get out of" at any point they feel like. So why bother with contracts? If there was a way to get out, and Yamaha knew it, Yamaha would have rewrote it to eliminate that. There wasn't an option for year 2, it was a 2-year deal.

James is claiming a situation to explain why he has no contract.....the courts will decide if it is truly the situation. The easy way for James would have been a 1-year deal, but of course he negotiated 2-years. Since you'll never know anything about a James situation for certain, logical assumption rules. Or are you still of the belief that Larry Brooks is visiting his family?
