MOTO XXX

Edited Date/Time 1/27/2012 1:34pm
Anyone remember Moto XXX? One of the most innovative successful true to the word "PRIVATEER" teams to rock the SX/MX world? Moto XXX kicked some serious ass and did things our own punk rock way and shocked so many people that were simply not ready for us back in the day. Brian Deegan and Brian Swink were the two perfect canidates for launching our race team back in 1997. Its like our 1st video we made, Moto XXX #1, it was fresh and original and people loved it. Our 13 year long run with our team came to an end 3 years ago and with a bunch of internal problems, Moto XXX silently fell off the map. Well, the last few years of the team sucked to me anyhow, cause we lost our edge and what we were about but, anyhow, i just wanted to see who has good memories of Moto XXX and what we accomplished and brought to the sport. I started up a facebook page that really isnt much as of yet but, head on over to www.facebook.com/motoxxx and "LIKE" the page if you where stoked on Moto XXX and what we brought to the races and the fans. I surely have not forgot about everthing we did. Leave some stories here or head on over to the Moto XXX facebook page or hey, do both!

I thought that team was cool as hell and brought a lot of color and personality to the pits, bummer it had to end.
I hope you guys can get back out there in the future.
Ps. Your band rips!

"what's your favorite album?"

"twisted by design"

"oh...well...whats your second favorite album?"

"twisted by design 2"

i've got the first 2 motoxxx VHS TAPES (the red/green) ones. but all i want is an MP3 copy of that demo you guys did "perfect world".

Jordan your interview with Bob "Throttle" Jackson in motoxxx 1 is solid gold. to this very day my friends and i drop the "spurt of fire" and the "hodaka" line on each other. same with Esther "gums" Jackson. "yes i diiiiiiid"

if you can scrape the money together, hire Jason Lawrence, and set the world on fire. please. no gold glitter bikes though. and no deegan.

Agree. The original MotoXXX is definitely a classic for me and Strung Out was my favorite band growing up. I remember when those videos came out (Terrafirma, Crusty, MotoXXX) we were always dying to get the soundtracks. I was at the Coliseum when Deegan did his infamous finish line ghost ride. The MotoXXX team pits were always the best to get a bunch of free stuff. Had MotoXXX stickers on everything.

Perfect World huh..thats old school..before my time too. Cool that your a long time fan of Moto XXX and Strung Out. Thank you! I loved doing those interviews. Bob Throttle Jackson and Esther Gums Overbite were both in Moto XXX 1 and ya, were fully classic! Filmed Bob in Hollywood with Smelly and Esther in Florida with Swink and Neumac. Good times! Ya, Lawrence would have fit our program well if we had got him at the right time. The gold and silver glitter bikes where simply amazing and blew everyones mind. NO ONE, had ever done that in MX..thats for sure! I wish we had more pictures/footage of that. Maybe i do somewhere.

Nice to know Strung Out was your favorite, hopefully we still are..haha. We just put a "greatest hits" type album called "Top Contenders..The Best Of Strung Out" and its all fully remixed/remastered..all the tunes have a new lift to them plus 3 new tracks. www.kingsroadmerch.com/strungout if you care to check it out..or download it somewhere for nada. Deegans Ghost Ride was historic! I still have the Ghost Ride bike and i truley believe its a part of MX history. Our pits where always cranking and the promoters and AMA hated us. They thought we were a circus that would just go away. The fans nor us was gonna have it that way. We stuck around for a long time!

There was annoying parents too so your all good! Haha..everyone loved our free giveaways. It wasnt just the kids, it was everyone and we enjoyed doing it and the promoters/ama enjoyed trying to shut us down. We never listened and always got in trouble. In our later years of the team, it was boring, we never got in trouble...we became just another stale team in the pits. Glad you listen to our tunes too..thanks man

In '97 I pulled into the parking lot of our hotel in Gainesville, FL for the national and parked right in the middle of the driveway was a completely bad ass black MotoXXX box van. I can picture it in my head like it is right in front of me right now. The whole program was so cool back then. It really made a huge impact on me, enough so that I'm still running MotoXXX graphics on my bike and I still listen to the soundtrack cd's I got for all the videos. NOFX and Strungout are two of my favorite bands and to mix moto with my kind of music was just awesome. I'd love to go back in time. Everything just seemed so much more core back then. If you wore moto casual clothing it meant you were bad ass, not that there was a sale at the mall and MotoXXX was as core as it got.

The current Eleven10 mods program reminds me of the original MotoXXX deal. Doing the best with what they have and having fun at it all while turning in some respectable results. It'd be cool to see MotoXXX resurface again helping out a program like that.

My stash of stickers from way back in the day is running low, come back soon....please!

I was an early sponsor of motoxxx and i can truly say that i was treated well by the guys there, kenny, kurt, jordan had many good times in vegas in those days, the supercross after parties were the best...we needed someone to take on the establishment and those were the guys..

I remember working all the parking lot sales with you, Kurt, Jay, Seth (from Ohio) way back when. We had a lot of fun. I also remember all the MotoXXX premiere party's you guys would have and you were always nice enough to invite me backstage and that is where all of the crazy shit would take place. I'm not going to mention names, but the parting that went on by some pretty high profile people was crazy to say the least. I really miss those times.

MotoXXX was cool as hell! On my 2002 CRF450 I wore the decal kit with pride. That and Kyle Lewis married a local chick and was friends with some people I knew. That had some of the best looking graphics!!

I first heard Strung Out from the original 'Fat Music for Fat People' comp cd back in 1994 or so. I saw an ad in some music zine and sent away 3 dollars for the disc. I liked the Strung Out track a lot and after I bought 'Another Day In Paradise' and read the liner notes I thought "they sure thanked a lot of motocross people, I wonder what the connection is?".
