There are some pictures in Dirt Rider on the 2009 KX450F........... Best looking bike out IMO.

Black swing arm, black hubs, black rims, some more black graphics with green fork guards.

Then flip the page and there is a pic/article on the 2009 KX450SR which is a fuel injected version. Cool stuff.

If anyone has any pics..please post them.

Damn you R-acer!!!
With the sun shining through the window, I scrolled down to the second pic...
With the ray's hittin' the puter just right, The second pic look's like a smoker!!!

My heart about jumped out of my chest!!!!!

WOO HOO, 09 KX 450 two stroke!!!!! YEE HAA!!!!!

Then the sun ducked under a cloud and I saw that nasty head pipe....

No 09 KX for me, too many stroke's.....

That black is gonna look GREAT after a season. The pattern of sand blasting that swingarm is going to make some interesting looks. I guess Kawai didnt care about return customers.

I dont think it will be a factor as long as they used good quality paint. The current one is painted silver, and it never got a snad blasted effect.

They're not stupid. They wouldn't do it if it's going to look like shit after a few rides.

EXACTLY..... Doesn't matter how good of paint they use unless it's Rhino Lining in which case would make it heavier but yea after one season that thing is going to look absolutely hammered ... they should just stick to silver or leave it unpainted. Notice how great black rims look after a season or two? It's not like the bikes will disappear within 2 years they will trickle through the used market ...couple rock scratches, tangle with another bike etc. Shiny aluminum being highlighted against the black that can't be repainted

Black is easy to touch up on the swingarm, but the hubs may age quickly.
I had a 79 KX 250 that had true anodized rims and swingarm. Those suckers still looked sweet after 30 + races.

the only down fall is see -- the black pieces on each side of the motor. Our Yamaha's come with black covers and after one ride they look beat. We actually run a custom clutch cover and we bead blasted the other side for a cleaner look.

You don't have to wash a black bike right?

Maybe you should go check out someones rims who has a 2008 KX450F and tell me wether you want to retract your last statement or not.

Ever seen black anodized rims after a season? Why do you think this will look any better?

Thats why I stick to silver rims....sure black rims are cool looking if you don't want to ride your bike.

Nice looking bike, don't like the black swing arm much right enough.
Is the 09 Yam, Honda, Kawa, all not EFI in 09?

The current one is NOT painted, it's bare metal!

According to the Mag (dirt rider), they are showing 2. KX450F, and a KX450SR Looks like we will have options.

You will not get a choice, SR is the name for Kawi's works bike (Special Racer) and it is not a production bike. The KX450F is the only thing you can buy.

Ok, well thanks for the clarification... as i said..dirt rider was showing the two bike... but I am not stating facts.

I guess the Fuel injected model or SR is not being released for 09 then, since They are boldly showing the 09 KX450F.
