Some of us even use 2-strokes on the street. My trustee old 1976 RD400. She's been with me since college.

there is a company who is a sponsor on twostrokemotocross whom has a plug-n-play unit for 1,000 dollars. technically is converts the carb into a throttle body so its a bit like the TPI 305 chevys from the late 80s (L98 engine'd vette for example)

I think the site moderator is going to try it on the YZ144 he built. they claim 10% horsepower increase by bolting it on.

what you guys should be checking out is the Ossa 280RS trials bike. reverse engined, downdraft injected two-stroke. if an MX-centric company buys into this technology, game over buddy. look at the engine integrated into the chassis ala F1.

the technology definately exists, its just a matter of getting someone in this piss poor world economy to take a chance on it. I would be willing ot bet if you see it, it will be on a Husaberg, which is essentially KTM's R&D arm. they try it on a Husaberg, if it sells, it gets put on the KTM SX line.

it is truly my dream to see this happen, and see Honda go into a hissy fit over it, and pull out of the AMA scene, thus shotting themselves in the foot, proving that the US MX scene is stronger than they think. dont let the door hit your ass on the way out Honda, if that comes true.

that's one cool engine !
I'll bet it's light at hell

Anyone know when ktm plans on releasing FI two strokes?
From what I have read they have it ready if they ever have to use it. I.E. if the EPA over here in America makes them. For now they will just keep selling bikes to the public for a cheaper price. Something the Japanese didn't give a shit about. They're just chasing dollar signs.

Ya know, the Alessi's are always saying about how they beat RV 90% of the time as an amateur, but I've seen both Alessis ride 80s a few times during the peak of their amateur career, and not only was I not very impressed, but after watching RV in this video I just don't see how he didn't wax Mikey all the time!
Because Mike always got the starts, Poto didn't. Amateur races are much shorter so you don't have enough time to cut through the pack.
