I know, I know....this is a MX forum and I'm asking about a KDX. Does anyone know what the float height should be on a 1983 KDX 250? I do have a manual for a 84' KX 250. If these bikes shared the same carburetor I would guess they would be the same. Any help would be appreciated.

I need the specs on ohm'ing the stator and coil. If anyone has this manual or a link to a web-free one please let me know.

Trying to help out a internetless friend. He has a 09 kx250f with very low compression....as in like 50psi. He tore the motor down and noticed his exhaust valves were open.....had a lot of carbon build up around them. He said his piston/cylinder (new at end of last season, not even ridden this season) looked to be in very good...

O.K. fellas, I took the plunge and decided to replace some main bearings myself (first time ever) last week. What I'm wondering is if the crankshaft puller/installer tool is a must or do any of you use other means to set it back together. I'll be honest here...I used some longer bolts in the area around the crank to help...

What do you guys do to clean the grime off these old finned heads and cylinders? I'm rebuilding a 86 KDX 200 motor and I'd like to paint the head and cylinder before I button it back up. There is years of grime, grease, and dirt between the fins. Suggestions?

I have an 84' KX 250 with a worn master cylinder in the front. There is no rebuild kit anywhere that I can find. Kawasaki don't even show numbers for it on their parts diagram (well, for the seals anyway). Anyone else run into this dilemma with a old bike??

So I'm working on a 86' KDX 200 and it had the sound of a gravel factory in the lower end. I split the cases last night and the stator side bearing stuck to the crank when I split them. Any good ideas or tricks to remove this?? This thing appears to be stuck pretty good.
