Not a dirt bike but I LOVE the thought of these engines and the bikes they powered. Honda NSR500 engine:
TZR250 chassis, RD500 engine'd YZR500 replica with Nigel Kimber fairings. This is Nigel's bike, I'd be happy if mine turns out HALF as nice as this. 120-130HP 500cc two stroke ~295lbs... makes a GSXR1000 look like an XR100, and its a 25 year old engine design in a 15 year old chassis. but, yea... two stroke suck. LOL
Kevin Schwantz, biggest set of testicles on the planet, 190hp 500cc two stroke with no traction/wheelie control.
250Fs make GREAT parts bikes.
20+ year old engine design STOCK in an up to date chassis vs. a brand new state of the art 450F, and it wouldn't even be a close race.
last production 500cc street bike, it could have saved 2 strokes, but instead it killed them because the injection system was horrible.
Smallest human being no afraid to use ALL of a 500.

I think the site moderator is going to try it on the YZ144 he built. they claim 10% horsepower increase by bolting it on.
what you guys should be checking out is the Ossa 280RS trials bike. reverse engined, downdraft injected two-stroke. if an MX-centric company buys into this technology, game over buddy. look at the engine integrated into the chassis ala F1.
the technology definately exists, its just a matter of getting someone in this piss poor world economy to take a chance on it. I would be willing ot bet if you see it, it will be on a Husaberg, which is essentially KTM's R&D arm. they try it on a Husaberg, if it sells, it gets put on the KTM SX line.
it is truly my dream to see this happen, and see Honda go into a hissy fit over it, and pull out of the AMA scene, thus shotting themselves in the foot, proving that the US MX scene is stronger than they think. dont let the door hit your ass on the way out Honda, if that comes true.
Pit Row
And last but not least, Sunday morning practice, 2001 Budds Creek 125 national
I had a lot of fun, but I basically don't know how to ride a smoker on the track. I can't get in the power band at the right time.
And I never thought I would say that, but I miss the engine braking.
Heres a reason right here. Mike was fast too on minis
I think the 300 needs to have the head shaved to get a bit more compression. It is a very common mod, especially at altitude like in CO.
Post a reply to: Too much pissing and moaning, time for a 2 stroke thread!
