I was walking through the pits and I heard that DNA hasn't paid Star Racing a substantial amount of coin owed to them. Why do companies have to stiff the good guys like that?

Just what I heard bro.

Doesn't someone still owe Vuillemin for wearing their boots?

Wasn't there a rich guy with a KTM team that shafted the carbon fiber supplier for over ten grand worth of parts? Pretty good blow up on motonews a few years back.

1% of the people cause 99% of your trouble, get rid of the 1% and you are golden.

there is a team that probably won't be around next year that helped alot of people make it to the race's...most of there inside the industry sponsors never paid a dime... and it's considered industry suiside to persue them legally or otherwise.. just say'n!

God damn it , I hate hearing about this shit! I have heard it a few times over the years. I know one thing , I'd want money up front before I put anyone's logo's on my fucking bike. pay for the advertising or fuck off! You can't put an ad in the yellow pages without paying first.....why should you be able to put it on someones bike? Good way to get yourself black-balled from the sport.

If they do, hopefully they pay me and BBMX for 2008/09 also. It's a big number.

That sucks Jason! Since you have been out there racing the nationals and SX's for all those years , have you heard the same thing? Other riders / teams getting screwed over?

Yes, MX/sx is notorious for it. Contracts get broken nonstop because unles you have a high powered agent with the means to file suit, it's difficult to enforce a breach. Most of the money would be eaten by court costs as well.. Unfortunately I've seen it a lot.

That is just sad. You promise a privateer ( or factory / satellite team ) money and then stiff them. It's already hard enough for most guys to be even able to afford to race with sponsors.....and then your sponsor rips you off? God damn that could piss a guy off. Nothing like stealing money from someone who can barely afford to live in the first place.......just wrong.

Did you raise hell when they sponsored Star? Kinda like "you can pay them but not us? WTF?"

What happened to the idea that a sponsor should pay his contract in advance?

All these shady sponsors have to do is make up a claim about breach of contract, then they can tie it up in court until you can't afford to keep going. It happens WAY more than it should be in this sport.

Remember Boo Koo?
I remember Bookoo well. I got paid, took a few months, but got the check. Mike Kidd got hosed in more ways than 1 by bookoo. holigan is still owed, if memory servers, a mil or 2. He got judgement, if I remember it right, but...

They're energy crap laced beef jerky type sticks, right? Kinda like AHRMA energy crap laced nuts, only in meaty-type stick form.
