Husqvarna started a factory MX team? I know it is a long shot, but wouldn't that be pretty sweet? I mean look at what they are doing in the GNCC's with Jason Thomas in the XC2 class. Won't be long til they will have a rider in the XC1 class.

I sure hope they make it back into full time MX , either in Europe or here in the USA. Give them time....they will figure it out.....and seems they are on the right path in doing so.

Yea they have really went down the last what 15 years? Something like that. I would love for them to get a factory team going. The GNCC team is doing pretty well for not much funding. You gotta respect them for that. For some reason I want to see a factory TM team do good too. I am kind of a fan of the under dog

I have rode the new TC450 and it is really good! I hope they can expand their dealer network so more people can check them out. I like the new bikes for sure! By the way I think it would be cool to see another team racing supercross but it would be very tough for them to be successful in supercross.. I think they should get a competitive worcs rider (like Rickey Dietrich) and run the worcs series and race some motocross first. I think it would be a great start!

Just posted a race report by Michael Leib from over the weekend, go read it HERE

He did good in moto 1, but the bike had some gremlins in moto 2. He said he was the 1st Husky to get inside the top 10 since Chiodi in 1999. Chiodi was a badass, always liked that dude!

I'm not saying it will happen but I mean look at the chance that they actually have. They have Juha Salminen on the factory WEC team so that is definitely saying something. Especially if he is being competitive. I have talked to the guy when he raced GNCC. I could tell he isn't just gonna ride a lemon...other than the BMWs.

They have a long ways to go in the dealer base department. And I'm talking about dealers that actually stock stuff. Until that happens, have fun having to pay for expedited shipping for normal wear and tear parts if your racing them, it will be a while until I think about buying another Husky imo.

Wow! What a statistic !

Well done to Michael. I couldn't help but feel if he'd been on a different bike earlier this season. He would of been a regular top 10. But got to say, Husky seem to have made a massive leap forward since missing the British Gp to test instead.

Well, I guess when they stop doing seriously stupid stuff then maybe they will have a chance. The first item of business needs to be - chunk that fat POS 450, and make a normal motorcycle. It looks horrible. It weighs more than any other, and it took BMWs idea for motocross! Maybe they should have talked to Harley Davidson.

At least they've come out with 2-strokes, which are they're only saving grace.

The TC250 raced in the GPs looks sweet, but they need KTMs engine. And fix the dang radiator shrouds - come on, half?

I find it funny when a small manufactor like Husky/TM has a problem , They are a POS.
But when Honda/Suzuki/Yamaha has a problem it is bad luck.?
Give them a chance.

BMW owns Husqvarna. That's why they "stole" their idea for motocross. And yes, the dealer department sucks. The nearest dealer to me is in Memphis, but the website looks sketchy that's on the Husky site. Husky isn't a small manufacturer...maybe on the bikes part, but they're coming back slowly but surely. Look at KTM. In the 80s, KTM and Husky were THE bikes. It's like college football, and all sports in general. It all comes in cycles. After Carmichael retired, Suzuki has slowly been going down hill. Yea, they have Dungey, but he's following DeCoster to KTM. That will leave Metcalfe, and I'm not sure who else. So, what is gonna happen after that?

I think some people don't realize that the vast majority of the dirt bike market could really give two hoots who's racing what and so forth. Does anyone in here really go out and buy brand new scoots every year based on who's winning the championship right now in motocross or supercross?

They've got a pretty strong local base around here, quite a few 125s out on the track. Locally they're about where KTM was a few years ago. Probably helps that the local husky dealer is also the nation's largest

Can you still get a Husky 250 2 stroke motocross version?

Husky made a big push in the states 2000 to 2003. They hired Steve Lamson over here and even Stefan Everts in 2000 in Europe (he got hurt). Lamson didn't do too bad, he had a few top 10s on the 250 outdoors.

That's like what everyone wants to do where I live, put Fox Racing on everything they got (trucks, etc.) and they don't even race. Fox racing tattoos, all that BS. It pisses me off honestly because Fox doesn't care about the rider anymore. Used to, their gear lasted and they were completely rider oriented. The last set of gear I bought from them, didn't last one season.

They're testing a 450 right now, they have a good motor but are testing different frame geometry and are working to get it into the GPs next year. They have BMW building their motors and they stole a few engineers from KTM. The new ownership group is well funded and highly motivated.

The hope is to have a team here within 3 years.
