I wasn't a RD1 fan until this weekend. I always had respect for the guy, but he showed some RC-like determination and emotion that won't be forgotten by many. He needs to figure out that speaking openly and honestly can be done while "giving it up" to his sponsors and God... as soon as he does, he will be the next RC (fanbase wise). He was hated for years before he was the fan favorite he retired as. Reed is in that stage right now..

I didn't watch the race, but I saw a picture of Reed (yes or no) consoling RD on the starting line before his bike got to him, did Reed not even start the 2nd moto ? People keep saying 2 mechanical dnf's, what happened 2nd moto for Reed?

Hoiy shit- that's insane. Cox has been the one nailing the fact that mechanicals are the reason Dungey isn't leading this title chase. Good work Steve. Dungey is brutally consistent, but Cox made it clear why he's not leading the chase, and why he'll likely be on orange next year. I know it might seem obvious, but I for one am not keeping track of every moto result. I don't have the attention span.
And after all that- Dungey still refuses to throw his team under the bus. That's why he's banking.

That was Reed in the photo talking to Dungey in the staging area. Reed started moto 2 but pulled out near the halfway point. There has been no talk of what the problem was, Chad's bike was still running, his mechanic hopped on and they rode away. Moto 1 the bike quit on the track.
