It means he's a douche-bag that thinks using the term 'bro' to imply his understanding of cool uncoolness, is cool. In other words, he thinks cool surrounds him and his wit to boot. He's probably a C slass rider who will claim that he's an A rider. He probably even has stories about "chicks" he's been with. Best to ignore and let him have his say. And stay away from anyone that thinks he's even remotely cool.
what up Sloan? still smokin' poles eh? to each his own, bro

First off, I didn't say you don't like metal. I just said you don't like the music that went with the video. And I still stand behind that point. Just because you don't like it doesn't make you right... or constructive in saying that it doesn't fit. And I'm not even going to respond to the "core" remark.

Metal definitely works in slow-mo. Depends on the band/song, but yes it can work. The song that was used isn't even a high tempo.

Put a heavier song over the example video you provided and it would be more "intense". That's obviously NOT what they wanted so they kept the music light (which is great, its a good video). That's all Luke was trying to do by using a heavier song with his video... create intensity, and it worked imo.

This really isn't something worth discussing further. Might as well argue about art. If he used a country song i'd say "cool", if it were rap (again) i'd say "cool", any other music, "cool".... With this video though, I say "awesome!!!" because I like hard rock/metal and it's nice to see/hear something different. it's my kind of "art".
Well lets agree to disagree then.

Good video could of been great in my opinion that is all.

Good luck going mainstream and using metal in all your videos.

Well I say you're wrong and the video is great. Obviously music is subjective so I don't know how you could think you're giving "productive criticism"... more like "I want it to be different because I personally don't like the music" criticism...

Same goes to anyone else who didn't like it (the music). How do you think I feel every time I hear rap in these damn videos? I HATE IT, but I don't complain about it. I just enjoy the visual aspect.

When did i write the words i dont like Metal music ?

I feel that Metal doesnt work with slow motion or MX videos, ask any core moto fans and they will tell you the same thing.

The video its self was good to watch, but could have been taken to a different level with the right sound track that would compliment the video, i dont care for the genre just as long as it flows.

Lets take this vid as an example:

Now im not a fan of that type of music, but i works well and compliments the video.
Who is that guy in that video? He looks fast, does he race anymore.....

Music choice is subjective, obviously. Shot choice too. This video has some great riding captured and shared without huge dependance on post production. Thats the part that matters to me, great riding footage. I loved seeing the three guys close together at the end of the video. Great stuff. Again, this is subjective.

I am over the constant thrash metal sound as much as I am over the foreground fade out shot. You know, the grass, the fence or the dirt up close with the focus pulling out to the main action. They work - but enough already !!

The James video is awesome, different music, wide shots, even the big rule breaker of the cameraman's shadow featuring, that rule being broken so well with the shadow of the helicopter in shot.

It would be great to see a video with a different type of soundtrack. A new genre of MX vid catering for the old and impaired and home-schooled. It would appeal more to some and less to others. Obviously.

That said, I will NEVER get some vision/sound out of my head, that being Rob Zombie "Super Charger Heaven" from an early Crusty(?) video. Awesome. Made me wanna get a CD player (back in the day . . ) and some earplugs and ride the dunes.

Could someone please swap the music on this video out with a little Burt Bacharach?

How come MC was riding a 250f?
8/11/2011 8:38pm
What's sick is that bike. I bet it could do an eighty foot jump without its rider.
(And still finish the race, bro.)

oh and the video was very cool that last bit ruled
your bluroptic graphic in the clouds looks awesome

I'm not a massive fan of people complaining about music saying it's wrong or whatever maybe just say 'it's not what I would've used if I'm ever talented enough, creative enough and patient enough to put together a video'....

also while i'm going one thing that really annoys me is when people say 'that music is shit'.. peoples tastes are different and no ones taste is wrong you might not agree with it but they probably don't agree with yours :end rant

Some videos have music, some don't. There's gotta be both! I thought it was wicked, always enjoy watching Reed. Hope he gets his mojo back for the rest of the year.

I dug the vid Luke. Great work and thanks for posting so we could watch. All vids are subjective, to each their own. Just be glad someone takes time out of their lives to offer something for us Vital crybabies to watch.

Just like how Stewart, Reed and RV spotted Dungey 2 championships last year? Works the same way.
