Sorry, I just don't see any standouts this year that will make a major impact in the pros, similar to last years class. I think we will have to wait for AC and Webb to move up to see the next super stars.

Sorry if any of you are related or friends with the riders, just telling it like it is.

If you are seeing something different than I am, then please, lets hear about it.

It's not shitting on them, what do you think, i'm interested. Do you see something that i am not seeing in these guys?

No doubt they are fast, but I don't think they are faster than Anderson or Audette, do you?

Bogle will be good. I know he opened some eyes at Mammoth this year with some dominating performances.

There's so much talent in the pro's and amateurs right now it's difficult to stand out. To call them mediocre is disingenuous maybe you should get off the computer and show them how it's done.

They can't all be as fast as you so don't hold them to that standard.

Like I said, make the week days of lorettas about amateurs and bring a pro national there for the weekend, put the last amatuer pro motos on national day in a format like the woman already have a shedule for, then everybody shamelessly gets to see where there speeds at, no ones blinded and it makes the event itself even bigger, it cost mxsports a lot less cause there killing 2 birds with 1 stone and it will draw huge fan base and spectators for the entire event. To me I don't no how this hasnt already happened. It's Loretta lynns, not some squid 50 track. They could make it happen an every pro would love that track.

Back on topic, I think there's a few riders that could run the pace of a top 10 guy but fitness would play a pretty big roll, also these kids need to know that they have to be in shape n ready to race 9 months out of the year for sx mx n offseason testing n motoing. Alot of amateurs put in heavy time before there long spaced events they have time to be ready for, In pro racing you have to be ready pretty much 95% of the time.

hmmm.....interesting, kinda like an MX bike week, similar in a sense to Daytona with a weeks worth of racing. The only thing I wonder is if the pros would steal the thunder from the amateurs.

Some great ideas there, but the real question is, when is my daughters favorite rider going to be racing again??

You guys are sure quick to dogpile someone for making a statement without even considering what the OP even said. Do any of you out there see any James Stewarts? Pastranas? Canards? Alessis? Villopotos? I sure as hell dont.He never insulted the kids, he just said there arent any standouts where people are chomping at the bit to see them at a national. These last 2 years just hasnt produced any Hype to believe in.

Tough to predict, I don't recall Vilopoto, Canard, Dungey etc. etc. dominate either, but they are doing ok.

Hey just so you and your daughter knows, I have been letting easy a bit in my foot for the last week n letting it rest, today I went to the gym in should and felt a new feeling of NO PAIN walking in and doing my entire workout, exept noe I feel pretty beat, where I should feel perfectly fine, so I have about 4 solid weeks of cycling ahead of me and some light gym stuff, I really never lose my size, my problem is I get kinda fat when I ride cause I eat so much more and I usually eat more then I need to try and keep up with the program, right now I'm a lot skinnier, where 165 was impossible and what I needed racing last year, I couldn't be below 185 :0 193 heaviest, right now on a day where I havnt had a huge workout the day before I can be between 167 and as low as 164. I feel my number is 173 web racing, it's light n fast for me. Ever since I started weight training iv gained 4 pounds, that's 4 days. My legs the first few rides were small but now I'm looking at a lean size coming back. So all this in 2 weeks I'll give it 7 and I think I'll be fully fit and I'll start riding earliest in 5 weeks. I have a race bike and a 5 time ridden practice bike matche to my race bike waiting for the racer to be back. I just want to give myself the time it takes to be in shape n ready, te pace has been hardto keep up with when ur starting kinda behind. I'll get myself ahead a little bit right now.

I think part of the problem is that guys like RD,RV,TC only come along every so many years and we kind of expect them to be there every year. I think that when Peters, Bogle,Hayes and a couple of others go pro they will do good.
I know that this year when Jake Hayes was in California riding with the PC guys his lap times were real close(within a second) and Bogle is faster then him. Jakes mom also told me that nobody could match Baggets speed and this was long before the outdoors started.
When I think about this subject it makes me think about the year before Barcia went pro at Mini Os. Everybody was talking about Barcia and how he was "untouchable" and he was so amazing and BLAH BLAH BLAH and a local NC guy named Mike Mcdade went out and passed and pulled away from Barcia and this was a kid that doesnt even ride that much.

I guess we will all find out in a couple fo weeks.

To me the biggest part of this equation will be what their capacity for work is, what their tenacity is. Now the real work begins-trying to become a top pro rider. Can they handle getting beat in the early going? Can they put their head down to reach an entirely new level of fitness? Can they push themselves to new levels of speed, and can they keep that speed for 30+2? This will determine their destiny in the long run IMHO.

So true. Thats why we need to keep an eye on Jake Hayes.

I hear some no name Dungey kid is getting a tryout with Factory Suzuki. Probably just a dream and nothing will come of it.

I'm sure after LL's they'll all quit.

So, are you ready to call your feet "100%"?

That would be some really good news.
