Somebody please click the original poster. Just kidding. But lets not start this crap already. Let the nationals finish! And no, he wont be. Many people said that last year, and the year before. 3rd time isnt the charm.

FASTEST MAN ON THE PLANET!!! Laughing

if james even shows up i think he will be very fast at supercross- i dont think he will be consistent enough to win the championship though- RV, dungey and reed will all be more likely to win in my opinion.

As far as outdoors go- i expect him to come up with some lame excuse why he's not riding outdoors again (like he does every year) - if he wanted to be there he would be.

If he doesnt win the title this year i think he will retire and go to nascar

The L at L&M didn't feel the nationals got enough coverage and has said so in many interviews. Without the L involved I don't question that James will race the nationals just like Chad did when he left l&M
So Larry likes the coverage that the team gets when they don't race? Even if Larry didn't like the amount of exposure, he is still handicapping the team by not allowing them to race nationals. Everyone is racing and training while his team is standing by and watching. With the amount of secrecy that came out of L&M, I wouldn't be surprised if there is a reason we haven't heard that they aren't racing nationals. Larry knows more than I do about the sport and is an awesome team owner but I think waiving the nationals is one decision that he's missed the boat on.

If James shows up on the yellow bike, he will be untouchable. He'll probably still take himself out of a couple races, but will take the title easily. I'm not trashing the Yamaha, I just believe the Suzuki's handling will really suit JS's style.

You know, I think your may be right on this one. Every rider that got on a RMZ looked very comfortable on it, Carmichael, Reed, Alessi, Dungey, etc. I have no idea whether the blue bike didnt agree with him, but I dont think the yellow bike will be holding him back any either.

Not always, it also comes down to what you feel comfortable on. Ive ridden bikes that no amount of suspension tweaking made the bike feel okay to me. Yeah, I could ride it, but I never felt right on it. I would imagine that would hold even more true with guys at that top level. Why did JMG ride a '93 Honda chassis for 3-years straight? He liked how it worked for him.

I should add in, having Ferry Testing for him. Suzuki clearly has great frame geometry (especially for sx - with the quick handling) & excellent base settings from all their championships. I believe that was JS's big downfall with the Yamaha: They come out with an entirely new bike & give it to a team where the top rider really doesn't like testing. Regardless of how many techs Yamaha still has, you give the bike to 3 or 4 different teams, all going their own directions & the feedback / development is going to be hamperred. I think not having a factory team has hurt Yamaha & if Suzuki ends up going that direction, it will gradually have the same effect on them too.

Yeah, I can see that. As long as they arent making radical changes, they will have a decent baseline of data to start with on the RMZ for James. The part I dont know is who has access to what notes on all those years of setup & racing.

In any event, if James does end up on a Zook, I hope it works great for him and he stays on two wheels. The guy is the best SX rider to throw a leg over a bike, he just needs the consistency to go with the speed. If he races all season, we ALL win as specatators with RD, RV, TC, CR and all the other fast guys in the mix.

I feel a lot of love in this thread.

James would do alright if he would just get a better looking front fender for that thing!

Dumb? Since when did anything posted here include intelligence?

If you are looking for facts or helpful insight, these monkeys here aint gonna deliver.

Besides, shouldnt you be at summer camp or something? Sheesh, school lets out and the Hannah Montana crowd invades Vital.

i meant, stewart would have to apply input on the testing .apparently, he is a bit of a slacker in this department...from what i hear.
