Stewart re-arrested for same "crime".

The state can't stand the thought of not being able to legally steal that bad ass truck of his.

As much as you knobs would like him to be, he was not charged with fleeing.

He's not going to jail. The state of FL is just trying to milk some $$$ off of him.

Only in the Internet age would you see grown men gloating over the arrest of a 25-year old. Especially a 25-year-old that achieved things they could only dream about in their wildest fantasies.
That's some serious character right there.

The state will spend more money trying to prosecute him than they would receive on any type of fine issued to him . The felony will more than likely be dropped to a gross misdemeanor if he takes the plea bargain. A slick lawyer would get that done pretty easily . Smile

Ain't that the truth. The "tot mom" trial of Casey Anthony is all over the net. MMmmm Lets see Florida, killing an innocent baby and leaving her in the trunk of your car or Stewart the flashing light guy, who should they focus on???? I'm not a fanboy by any means, but geeze, let it go, lesson learned.

Bottom line, he's not above the law, so I guess he's not the "TIger Woods" of MX after all..

Yeah. I heard Mark Furman is down in Florida now and actually planted the red and blue's on his dash. Fuckin' setup man.

Later that night Kato(Sorby) was heard bumbling about outside.

Poor poor James, what's this world coming to when a rich famous athlete can't get out on the highway and pull people over?

What, is she being let go now so they can focus on James? I guess Florida can only focus on one crime at a time from arrest to prosecution? Don't see wtf she has to do with James, the only question for her is if she gets life or death.

If this wasn't James not one single person would be bitching that some level of punishment is warranted. The laws exist against doing what he did, why the uproar about letting him get away with it? We all know what a DUI will bring, so once it's committed the rest lies in the hands of the law. His actions are on the books as a FELONY in Florida. They didn't just make this up to stick it to James. It's the law, he broke it.

The bottom line is that James screwed up. By not owning up to it and hitting it dead on it only makes things worse. Don't blame the same system that will prosocute real criminals in order to keep your wives and children safe. The dude is twittering a "woe is me party" and makes himself out to ve a victim? I guarantee is two dudes tried to red light your chick or wife or daughter out on the road you guys would have a different opinion. Now Stewie own up to the dumb ass move, take what you get and move on.

Damn I never thought of it like that. Killing a baby is way worse, so anything less serious should be immediately dismissed, lesson learnt, let it go right?

Stewart's "crime" was incredibly minor in the grand scheme of things, a dumb prank, a 25 year old being a dick and acting like a 15 year old. But fact is he's 25, he's an adult so he's got to take the minor punishment that fits the minor crime, same as anyone else. Go to court, pay a few hundred bucks and move on.

I do find it interesting that the police officers may be the reason for this. The reason it is interesting, is that if they did something wrong, it would be completely opposite. They would hope that the media would forget about it, that internal affairs would slap them on the hand, and they would be back on the street. I am in no way referring to what Stewart did. I agree with most, that he shouldn't get any treatment that any of us regular people should get. Although we know normally, in the real world, it happens all the time. IE: Hollyweed fuckups.

Christ on a cracker, amazing to see the so-called fans of the sport so gleefully rooting for a rider to fail.

Absolutely depressing.

Who's rooting for him to fail? The argument is he broke the law and how serious the consequence should be? Bottom line is he did fail and no one needs to root for that. Prosecute him or drop the charges. It doesn't matter. He did something dumb and I would in no way blame the authorities for handling it how they would anyone else.

Btw.... I find the "so-called fans" insult to be quite stupid. People are here because they like motocross. They don't have to worship the riders to discuss a topic on a web message forum.

And it's really silly that it depresses you.

The big deal is..... no charges were filed due to not enough evidence in the first arrest.....so... .WHY pursue it further, spend more of the states tax-dollars for a victimless (in this instance) shenanigan that has already served it's purpose? That being, James had some bad PR, acknowledged the mistake, Big James probably whipped him a new one (just like any of us would do to our kids if this was them, and I'd bet everyone of you would be saying WTF if this is how it went down with your kid) and that should of been that.

Abuse of power.

The big deal is there was enough evidence. 3 eye-witnesses and exact description of the truck. Found red and blue lights in luggage... How the heck were they to know those would be there before stopping them had someone not witnessed it?

I believe the real problem is them dropping the case in the first place without even a slap on the wrist for what is considered a felony by law.

I realize that Stewart was probably just being dumb and meant no harm... but to come out and say he didn't do it at all is dumber and makes it look like authorities play favorites.

edit: forgot to mention that he actually admitted to doing it.

I'm curious if anybody was damaged or injured by this "serious" prank that JS7 pulled? I thought it was a car of off duty officers who were breaking the law themselves by speeding and James told them to slow down . . . I guess injuring the ego of some hypocritical off duty officer is a felony in Florida, or more specifically Osceola.

total BS by any standard

By the prosecutors logic James should turn around and sue the store that sold him the red and blue cop light and the MFC of this light. He was impersonating a cop car light and not a cop.

Do you realize that a significant amount of drug dealers, rapists, and in general "bad people" are caught in routine traffic stops? Laws are laws, he screwed up and broke the law. He will end up paying some form of a price for his actions - likely a pretty hefty fine for most normal people (chump change to Stewart) plus serve the community in some form of community service - which will likely be good for James.

Some of you folks really show your age and maturity level at times.

Think there's a chance we can get the judge to give him 10 weekends of community service and force him to race the nationals?

Post a reply to: Stewart re-arrested for same "crime".
