Think the internet is getting carried away with itself. Has CP blamed the bike for him pulling out after 15 mins? Show me.
No where. People just love to hate him. By the way, some muppets didn't get your joke on page 2 (?), they now think you "hate Trey". I even made it easier on them with my reply, but they are totally lost here.

From now on you might wont to put two hundred smilieys, or /JK when you say something like that. Maybe even say, be ready for sarcasm or irony people or whatever! Smile

Seems the recent discussions about CP has crawled under his skin? He says on his Twitter: My translation from French: CP doesn't pull out from a heat, if there's not a good reason. Then in english: Wowww, time to make some change in life"

I have no idea what the last sentence was all about...

Damn, I hope to seen the kid shine this season. Would make my painful dobut go away, and will create some frustration among some people here! Smile

You mean you don't hate Trey? Whew

Give Christophe some time. He'll figure it out. Any time I had any interaction with him, he was very friendly, funny, and respectful. And a heck of a dirt scooter rider.

Watch the race or the highlights of moto one on the home page. They say: "He said he wasn't comfortable with the set-up of the bike"

Happy now?

No doubt , He was off for an extended period and it seems he will need more time to sort everything out.

Bike set-up is a shared problem usually solved between the rider and the team during hours and hours of testing. It is not necessarily a reflection of the bike itself.

It's his own fault for not sorting his contract out earlier, but Pourcel (a Kawi guy his whole life) is riding a new brand of bike with unfamiliar equipment, he left himself what, 2 weeks before Hangtown? There aren't many other guys in a similar position.

Unfortunately by keeping a low profile as is his prerogative and not explaining his every move or decision he simply invites wild speculation and accusations by forum monkeys with nothing better to do.

Joke? What are you talking about? Personally, I cant stand the guy!

I'm with you though, hope we get to see Pourcel really shine this season. When you think back to how gracious in defeat he was last season against the golden bollocks of Christian USA motocross, its hard to understand why SO many people hate on this guy. I'm bummed he's not doing better, but thats only because we've seen his potential and we know he has beaten Dungey repeatedly. Wink Smile Wink Wink Smile Wink

Sure he is a weirdo, but the more the merrier. US Motocross needs him. Esp when theres only 3 guys in contention for the win.

Opps, I though you were kidding! My fault, and sorry for the muppets comment guys! Obviously I totally agree with the CP angle, and people disliking him seems to have personal issues. But I don't share your veiw about Trey. Sure I TOTALLY disagree with his faith thing, but he seems to be a really nice kid, and "hate" is for people killing women and children, not people finding their info and guidence in the "wrong" book...

But it's totally ok to disagree I guess! Smile

By, the way. Trey's mom is around here, and she's a cool cat, so for her sake, maybe choose diff words since I'm pretty sure you don't hate him! Wink

I'm good. I certainly know that not everyone likes Trey. Makes the world a more interesting place. If everyone loved chocolate, there'd be no vanilla.

Burnside.. you can't stand Trey Canard?!

Really? One of the nicest/genuine guys you will meet, who works hard and is very dedicated to his sport... why would u not like a person who demonstrates those charachteristics?!

RE: Pourcel.. he has beaten Dungey repeatedly, and he has the talent to do it again... Pourcel is a fantastic rider, maybe the most talented out there imo. Dungey though has all the other peices of the puzzle in place that Pourcel doesn't have.

Yeah but come on "hate" or "can't stand the guy" is ignorant don't you think, especially if you don't know the person ? and it's not like Trey is a dick in person or on camera, he comes across as a "nice" kid. I could see saying I'm not a fan of his but the other comments are just dickish in my eyes.

women's intuition right there LOL

I still remember everyone despising RC in his early years, then have became adored by everyone. I think its as pathetically simple as "he is french, ew' I can watch the guy ride all day long, and in most of the interviews I see of him, he is alot more likable than most riders out there !!

So far these are the excuses coming from the CP fans:

1. The bike isn't good enough : proven wrong by Milsaps

2. Yeah, the Yamahas are capable but his team isn't: so far his team mates have beaten him at both rounds so throw that one out the door

3. Not enouth time to test or get in shape Did anyone see Les Smith? 3rd ride on the Yamaha 450 and was running top 10, even passed Windham. 3 days on the Yamaha 450!

4. He's a rookie, give him a break: So is Christian Craig. As a matter of fact, CC is a rookie to the nationals period. And he spent most of the supercross series injured, not "training" on a PC 450. Plenty of other rookies out there having to get used to the new bike this year too and they at least finish the race.

Have I missed any??

I'm not "hating", just pointing out the ridiculousness of some of these excuses. Guys like Les Smith, Christian Craig, Tommy Hahn, Kevin Windham, Ricky Deitreich and many others keep proving that he should at least stay out there and be able to finish in the top 15.

I hope he gets it together soon, mostly for the Motococepts crew who deserves better out of their star rider.

Hey I'm perfectly justified to say I can't stick the guy,I don't know the guy personally,if so,no doubt my opinion would c. hange, there's absolutely no hate at all, just impressions of how people come across on post race interviews etc, some are cocky some talk God and some are arrogant and people really don't take to them because of it,Pourcel himself didn't come across very well at first with his podium comments which certainly didn't gain him as many fans as it could have done, its the whole God thing that gets me,like it does some others

Ps apologies if directed at either of the 2 previous posts to mine or whatever Smile
