i had a really good weekend... Bulgaria is a pretty cool place, and the whole thing was extremely good value for money (what with the strong £££).
i'll have a more in-depth report on my website soon... i just thought i'd give you a few pics seeing as there don't seem to have been any posted.

anyone who witnessed the racing on Mediazone/TV knows how cool a track it is... unfortunately due to it's location, not many people will get a chance to go there. I can see why Youthstream likes it though, with it's great facilities (3 grandstands, commentary tower, flat paved paddock, a few hard standing buildings etc) but i can't believe they make any money out of it... i'd be surprised if there were over 7000 people, each paying $3 entrance... no way did they cover the cost to drive everything out there...
still, i'm glad they did, and i'm glad i went... if any of you are ever in the area... it's well worth checking out....

Is Hailsham in the south someplace around Eastbourne? If so you are not so far from the ocean and pretty decent weather for England. My English wife called the south of England "the English riviara" My family is from Cheltenham area. Did or do you race mx? What got you interested in traveling to the US? Thanks for the pics especially the off track ones. Many on these board think that the UK or anyplace other than the US is shite.. If only they knew what the rest of the world holds for those with an appreciation for life.

yea... it's about 8miles north of Eastbourne...and the weather is probably the best in the country. I do believe that Torquay holds the title of 'the English Riviera' though lol

i can't say i'm too familiar with Cheltenham... it's a bit to far North-west for me... anything above London is like a foreign country for me haha!

i've always enjoyed travelling places... and following MX is a good way to give a trip 'purpose'. I mean, last year... i could've driven around the 47 states in a nice evenly paced route, shortest distances etc etc... but following the AMAs gave it a bit of excitement, a target for me to aim for.
this year i figured i'd explore a bit more of europe... you are right, there is so much to see that it's staggers me when people say they've never left their country. Already this year i've added Belgium, Holland and Bulgaria as places i've been to... and hopefully before the year's out... i will add Ireland, Germany, Austria, Switzerland to that list.

of course.. keeping everyone updated along the way...

Cool pics, I've seen the GPs from there on TV, and it looks like a pretty cool track.

$3 to get into a GP, and they only pull 7000 people? Pretty poor place.

you're right, the atmosphere is crazy fun and the stuff that goes on inside the beer tent.. sheesh! MX A how do you and your friends and family see Americans? I always hear so much about US citizens being treated poorly or with disdain but i must say that i have never had that experience. Even in Paris i have a blast with the taxi drivers to the bistro operators. Whats your take?

Difficult to talk about that on a MX board, so much things to say... And my english insn't very good, you know... But of course, in my case, no hard feelings with the american people...

Thanks for the great report and for your great spirit.

Travelling and watching motocross live.. i love both so... that must be awesome.

A few years ago i spent a couple of weeks in Eastbourne, nice place, and yeah, good weather (considering that i´m from Portugal, I didn´t expect it to be so good...)

great photos and at last some decent weather for the gp`s, totally dominated by ktm. but they don`t seem to do it in the states, which doesn`t bode well for searle when he goes stateside. i`m loving the fact stephen sword is doing so well after 2 years out with injuries, he deserves some luck and a lot of credit for that should go to dave thorpe (although maybe i shouldn`t mention his name on an american website haha)

Yeah you are correct there, I was reading that only 17% of Americans have a pass port so how do they know the rest of the world is crap when 83% of them have never been out the US??

I love the GP's but Love the US Nationals to. I think the GP are really good just because of the amount of different nationality's and cultures that attend them makes for a really atmosphere and buzz.

KTM pretty much win loads in europe. I only think they don't do so well in the US due to them not having top riders on the bikes. Tommy, will do fine when he comes over just like Langston did on his.

Yep and the fans are so out going its crazy! I lived in Aberdeen with my GF for a time and we decided to go to Belgium for the week and then take in the MXDN at Zolder. While in the beer tent two wild eyed guys with goofy hats bought us beers and then as payment grabbed my Bonny scots arse! In the USA they would be arrested but there, we all just laughed and had another pint!

Yep that sounds like a GP, you can't beat the beer tent the night before, or the night after the racing for that matter, everyone from around the world drinking together and having a good time with the DJ or live band playing in the back ground . Good times

What Tracks did you visit when you lived in Scotland, Raddad? You ever head to Stonehaven, or Elgin ect when you lived in Aberdeen?
