I want to see a clean season of racing and the "what if's" of you being out of MX are better than the "what if's" of you taking out other riders. Please just stay away.
Sincerely, MX Fan

Yeah, he doesn't ride good outdoors. He's only got 3 national titles, a 24-0 450 season and he was the only guy who could consistently take it to RC. We don't want riders of that low caliber messing up the racing.

That was then and this is now. Several guys have stepped it up and now match Bubba's pace. But since he is the fastest man alive he has to go a little faster. He is a danger on the track and I can't think of any other motor sport that would not ban him from competition. Except maybe smash up derby...

James running lap after lap at home with Sorby is not going to cut it anymore.

I hope he can get some funding to make this outdoor thing happen because being a part time racer is a thing of a past unless you are a guy like Kdub who can race without any pressure to win,

Seriously, can someone put together a list of the riders taken out, either directly or indirectly, by bubba over the years? He is unarguably the fastest guy on two wheels and no one can deny that, but I can't recall a rider being such a hazard to the people around him. Yeah, last night was a racing incident but hasn't he had a huge number of "racing incidents"?

When he went 24-0 they still groomed the tracks heavily in between motos. I think Unadilla was proof of that. He was off by a mile on his set up. If he doesn't change that stiff front end style he might be in trouble the next few years. Don't remember him having that problem with the Kawi OR the 09 Yamaha.

The outdoors are perfect for his speed and ballsy ridingstyle. Who in their right mind don´t want a top guy to race?!
I wish people would stop bringing him down. The guy tries so hard and all he gets from "fans" of the sport is crap. Kind of like how people were with Reed a few years back. Just wait til James gets his shit together. You will all lick his arse before anyone can shout "all aboard the bandwagon"!

You obviously weren't around during the Hannah days, or the Mikkola days, or the Moissiev days...there have been lots of riders who intentionally crashed out other riders, but Stewart isn't one of them. He crashes and they get collected in the crash. The only time I ever saw him intentionally taking someone out was at Binghampton in '03 when he took out Langston in the second corner. Maybe he's done it other times, but I don't remember it.

I'm not sure stewart would make it through twelve days of outdoor racing with a major crash or injury... just as well he doesn't do GPs.. 30 days and longer motos!

Speed wise he can win though... but then that has never been the question mark.

I've been racing since '71 and it's happened to me a jillion times, and I've done it to other guys jillions of times.. It's just part of the sport. Try going out there and doing it, you'll see.

Exactly. JS7 is wild, and "collects" others when he crashes but he has not taken out guys like they used to.You have the Bradshaw-Matiasevich battles that cost both of them championships because they spent the whole season trying to clean each other out, Hannah intentionally ghost rode his bike into Howerton, Moiseev had two team mates intentionally take out Jaroslav Falta so he could win the '74 250 World Championship. People now made a big deal over Hanny's attempted takeout where he went down last weekend, and that was MILD compared to even the '80s, forget the '70s. I blame MC for this, somewhere in the middle of his streak it got "uncool" to touch another rider on the track. Things are just now starting to get back to "normal" from an historic standpoint.

Oh...... sorry didn't realize YOU have been racing since the "70's"..................who really cares how long you have raced. We are not at the track so you can't be judged by your 30+ years of track experience. We are on an intereweb board and therefore you can only be judged by the posts you make.

You friggin' guys crack me up when you get owned on the board so you start screaming about how long you have been racing. It doesn't impress anyone, give it up.

I don't quiet remember him taking it to RC unless you are talking about this;

Yeah RC clean pass on Stewart then gets landed on, he sure did put it on him.

The point is that I have experience with this kind of thing and I expect you don't, or don't have much. Riders crash. Other riders hit their bikes or them or crash trying to avoid them. So what? My favorite local old-school rider was Robbie Holbert, and he rode exactly like Stewart. He was a wild man, but you have to hand it to him, he wanted to win. That's kinda the object of the game.

Heck, I ran over Steve Wise one time and he got up and passed me by the end of the moto. It's a crazy sport and sometimes it's mayhem out there - and that was BEFORE supercross and tracks that are 20 feet wide at the most with all the obstacles. I'm sure that's hard to see from the stands.

I think I get it now.......................In those 30+ years of racing you must have sustained innumerable concussions. Hence your thought processes have actually de-volved.

smeg,

you are by far the most classless jerk that posts on this board. Your pattern is always the same, insulting, talking about 'owning other posters' and beating them in the massive arguments that only exist in your head.

Here is a news flash for you ace: this is a board about motocross and supercross racing, the fact that he's been racing longer that you've been alive, pretty much gives him ownership over you punk.

Don't bother replying, everything you say is garbage.

Why would you ever want a title contender, that brings excitement to the series, to not race? That has to be one of the dumbest things that was ever written on this page of all-time. I don't know if this thread should be in dumbgeon or hall-of-fame for how unbeleavably stupid it is.

You guys all act like Bubba does this shit on purpose... All of the riders are pushing the bikes limits, as well as their own limits. Shit is bound to happen. When youre going faster than the bike and your body are intended to, accidents can, and WILL happen.

In my opinion, without Stewart being here, the sport wouldnt be as intense and exciting to watch as it was this season.
