I posted a week or so back about buying a slacker tool for $100 bucks, 75 off. Facebook link I ran across. Anyway I took it out of the box today to play with it. Thought I’d check sag, hope to go to the track tomorrow if it doesn’t rain. For some reason I figured it had a max hold. Check sag, get off look at display etc. It doesn’t, ya need the wireless remote unless you want to get someone to read the display. In my case it would have been my wife. Which is the reason I bought this thing. The save function is on the remote. I jumped on Amazon, ordered a remote will be here tomorrow.
Just thought I’d throw this out in case anybody else buys one, which I think a couple other guys have. I would the remote too. I think it’s going to be a handy tool with the remote. Like I said above, the reason I bought this is to keep my wife out of the equation!!!
The Slacker also has Bluetooth so you can use a smartphone as the display along with their app.
I knew there was a service app but I didn’t know there was a virtual remote app. Found that when I went to down load the service app. Noticed there was a remote app too. I’ll send the remote back to Amazon. I’m retired from a big technology company, would have thought I’d have figured out the virtual remote lol. I called MoTool for grins and spoke with a technical guy. He wrote the app and was a sharp guy. They use some fairly new Bluetooth technology, you don’t have to pair your phone it auto connects. The service app lets you add different bikes and keep all you suspension setting, clicks etc. good stuff
I bet people would appreciate the title being corrected so they don't buy a remote based on the misunderstanding you had (and I had, too ... and I also deal w/ this type of thing regularly).

I just bought one, figured I'd give it a try
Ive been using one for the past few years and on various bikes. The biggest thing is getting the axis points correct.... where you hook the pull cord to. Ktm's have a mark on the fender, which helps. I dont like using the clamp tool that comes with it as its very wishy washy and moves around depending on how the plastics are designed. I just drill a small hole in the fender where the pull cord should be attached to.
Mine came with a bag full of small mounts with tape on the back. They work great and aren’t even noticeable on the inside of the fender

I drilled tiny hole in the corner of my side plate, where it showed to measure in competition hand book for my 250R. I thought about using one of those stick on clips that came with it. I may use those on my other bikes instead of drilling a hole.
I just receivedine and the Bluetooth won't link up . Seems like it doesn't recognize the app on my phone even though I'm logged in and set up bike and such . Any ideas how to fix this . I did try uninstalling the app also .
It auto recognizes, it’s advanced blue tooth. You don’t have to pair.
I assume my older unit, with the wired remote display (plug in) doesn’t have Bluetooth capability?
Finally got it to work . I like it now . It definitely shows you how much sag changes just by moving an inch or two on the seat
At the rate I’ve been gaining weight lately. Good thing I bought one!!!
