Hi there

My young fellas a bit short for his new yz125, I’ve added a lowering link and increased the sag to 115mm which has help with stand over.

I’ll be trimming an inch or so off of the seat foam
The last I’m after is a set of higher foot pegs.

Can anyone help find me the yz125 drc +5mm footpegs?

They aren’t in stock anywhere in Australia and I’ve tried using a VPN to search overseas but to no avail.  Can anyone help find these footpegs in stock somewhere?

Cheers

Have you looked into having any fabbed? They can take your stock pegs, shave the old teeth off, and weld a new set of teeth on the pegs and raise/lower them. The pegs Alex Martin ran on bis YZ-F are a good example of how far you can go. I had a set of KTM ones done by Metal-Tek here in the US. Not sure if they’re still doing them.

Not sure if you have experience with them, but I bought a set of those DRC pegs for my KTM 200 and wasn’t wildly impressed with how durable they felt.

You can grab a set of OE pegs from a different model / year of Yamaha...

On the older YZ's I ran the 2010 YZ250F pegs.  Those are a match for the height of the old OEM Titanium YZ125 / YZ250 pegs.
Probably the exact part that your later model stock bike has...

I believe there is a taller YZ peg.
Maybe read through this old thread and see what you can find out.

Also, the Flo pegs are pretty decent, if they make a taller peg.  A buddy of mine has Flo pegs on his 350F and they felt decent.

To be honest, he's almost 13 and not real fast, he will probably be fine on the regular pegs in a year so im not super worried about quality -- he's not hitting any sort of big jumps or anything at this stage

You could try some RHK's...

The top piece is bolted on, you could shim it out.

Is he having trouble with legs reaching the pegs or arms reaching the bars?  Most of the time it's arms reaching the bars, and lower bars or rolling bars towards the rider would solve that problem.  I think OEM YZ bars have a height of 84mm.

I ran these on my 06 yz250 they raise the footpeg mounts up 10mm. I know they're listed for the yzf but they fit the 2 strokes.

Another option would be to lower the subframe.

Another option would be KTM footpegs 2005 to 2015 (pre-2016 redesign). You might find them in +5mm options.

I've put YZ450 pegs on my 2009 model KTM. I recall needing to modify the stops.

I'm gonna trim down the seat foam.

I also want to rotate the bar clamps, if they are offset. Does anyone know if the standard Yamaha bar mounts are offset?

They're offset about 5mm forward on the stock setup.
Give him a back to back test on the bar position... I feel like the bikes steer oddly when you move the bars around more than 2mm.
